For Oral Thrush "I was given a prescription of clotrimazole 10 mg troche. It did not work for me and made my mouth raw with big single blisters, 3 or 4. Scary stuff. I started Wednesday afternoon with one single dose and took the medicine for 4 more days. It made the taste of my mouth worse. I had to stop it and let the physician know."

For Oral Thrush "Let's see where do I start. I started taking this drug last Thursday, and I thought it would take care of my oral thrush. While taking it, I was still coughing nasty phlegm due to bronchitis on top of the thrush. I still am coughing, and I have brightness to my throat, tonsil swollen on the side of my tongue, and I have buildup discharge coming out of my throat. It's a constant cough, and I spit up so nasty. It chokes me so bad when I cough until I pee on myself. I got tired of it, so I called my doctor and told her what the medication was doing to me and the side effects. She told me to stop taking it, and I got the Diflucan pills instead, so I'm retreating my throat thrush again. This medicine is not good. It made me cough more than anything, kept me up all night having burning, stinging, and my throat is so raw. I am not taking this ever again."

For Oral Thrush "These do not seem to be working. Instructions say to keep dissolving in the mouth for 15-30 minutes. I cannot get them to last more than 5 minutes. They are very inconvenient as you must take them five times a day and still don't seem to be helping. The aftertaste is super bitter and lasts until just before it is time to take the next one. I would try Nystatin instead of these lozenges."

For Oral Thrush "This is my 5th and last day to take lozenges, yet I haven't seen a significant difference on my tongue. Baking soda paste showed better results. Yogurt does not work for a lot of people due to intolerance to lactose. It just makes the situation worse with digestive problems and acid reflux. Going to ask the doctor to do a lab test to see if it's a resistant strain before spending a lot of unnecessary money on more pills."

For Oral Thrush "I am taking it for Sjogren’s - and was so excited because I have become so used to Nystatin. I was just living with this disgusting symptom. Every day I take the lozenge. About an hour after, I get really weird and extreme stomach pains."

For Oral Thrush "Today is my first day taking clotrimazole, and I pray to God it works. I'm on methadone, so there are not many medications I can take with it. I originally took Nystatin, which was horrible and not effective. Then I took Diflucan, which is a good drug, but I can’t take this with methadone, it can cause an overdose. So now I'm waiting to see if this is the last medication I will need to take and finally get rid of my oral thrush infection."

For Oral Thrush "I took clotrimazole for 10 days, it lessened the thrush but did not completely clear my thrush. It is the same as at the end of RX. Now, 2 weeks later, I am now gargling with salt water. I just started a Candida cleanse and diet, also holding coconut oil in my mouth as it is supposed to have properties that kill Candida spores. I don't have any idea if this doesn't work, what I will do."

Clotrimazole for Oral Thrush "I am starting a regimen of Mycelex Troche. I have used Nystatin oral 11 Xs. I developed thrush after dealing with an aneurysm in 2018. Mycelex is prescribed by an ENT. I’ll keep you posted. I’m trying to be ready for Thanksgiving 2020."

For Oral Thrush "I have had oral thrush for 5 months, brought on by steroids and antibiotics! I have taken Diflucan and Nystatin the entire time, but it will not go away! Doc suggested trying clotrimazole! What I’m reading here is scaring me, but I gotta try it! Nothing else is working!"

Clotrimazole for Oral Thrush "This was very easy to take. I noticed after taking it for 7 days (out of the 10 prescribed) that my thrush was completely gone. I noticed no side effects. I took it for all 10 days."
