Bempedoic acid/ezetimibe for High Cholesterol, Familial Heterozygous "Have been on Nexlizet for 7 weeks. Things were going well up until about the fourth week, then started to have muscle and ligament pain in my lower back. A few days later, started to have stomach pains and a bit of brain fog. I had blood work done, and my LDL went from 94 to 62. Doc was very happy with the results. Other than my LDL, which has never been above 95, my cholesterol numbers have been good my whole life. A heart attack 17 years ago, with no cause determined, put me on this path of never-ending cholesterol-lowering drugs, with all having severe side effects. I am 66 and just plain tired of it, looking for a life!"

Bempedoic acid/ezetimibe for High Cholesterol "Nexlizet is life-changing, a must try. I was taking Repatha, but I had injection site side effects, and my numbers were going back up. My doctor said that because of the rapid clearing of antibodies, Repatha wasn't working as well as it did when I started taking it. Now I have been on Nexlizet. I use the specialty pharmacy ASPN, and I pay $25 a month on the bridge program until my insurance covers it. Nexlizet has dropped my numbers significantly. I have no side effects and feel great."

Bempedoic acid/ezetimibe for High Cholesterol "Could not get my cholesterol down for over 40 years. Statins made me sore, achy, and did not lower my numbers. Swelling around face, ears, and throat. After stents from a heart attack, my primary doc asked if I would try Bempedoic acid. I tried it, and it worked great, lower numbers. Feeling great. Nexlizet works. I have also lost weight on the drug. Been on a Mediterranean diet for over 30 years. Fish, veggies, etc."

Bempedoic acid/ezetimibe for High Cholesterol "Stopped Repatha after 4 years due to rather severe resulting side effects. Started Nexletol, which decreased total cholesterol from 251 to 192 in 3 months. Changed to Nexlizet and further reduced total cholesterol to 149. So, after 7 months, great results with no noticeable side effects. Last blood test, uric acid went down a point."

Bempedoic acid/ezetimibe for High Cholesterol "Been on Nexlizet 180/10 now for approx. 6 months. Has done a great job of lowering my cholesterol, now 165 total. Very few side effects, only one that is noticeable is a small tingling in my legs below the knee and every few days night-time leg cramps, mostly if I work outside and do much sweating. I may try cutting back on the once a day and go to every other day and see what the cholesterol is on my next Dr. appointment."

Bempedoic acid/ezetimibe for High Cholesterol, Familial Heterozygous "I am in my mid-50s and consider myself to be in good health. I eat well and exercise regularly, however, high cholesterol runs in my family, and my father had a heart attack at 58 years old. He was 99% clogged in his major artery. My cholesterol has always been a little high, and I have been on a statin for the last 10 years or so, however, my LDL has been hovering around 100 for the last five years. My doctor did not like that, combined with my family history and my high blood pressure. He wanted to add something to my statin therapy. He suggested Repatha, but I didn’t want an injection. I countered and asked if I could try Nexlizet, and he said sure, he already has some statin-intolerant patients on it. Well, it didn’t take long. Out of nowhere, my total cholesterol was under 100, and my LDL was under 60 (both for the first time in over 5 years). No side effects either!"

Bempedoic acid/ezetimibe for High Cholesterol "After only 5 weeks of using samples, total went from 245 to 174. All numbers in my lipid profile are within normal range for the first time in years. Had some trouble getting it approved for my insurance and still pricey even using a co-pay card, but will continue as long as I can afford it. Hopefully, they will add it to my formulary soon. For High Cholesterol "I had polio as a child, have post-polio syndrome now. He got up out of bed today, walked around the neighborhood for the first time in probably two years because he has no muscle pain in his legs. Bempedoic acid/ezetimibe for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I started on Nexlizet in December 2024. My doctor said I should be on a statin drug after checking my levels, but my sister had horrible pain from statins, so I looked for an option. I have my results, and Nexlizet works very well, it lowered my numbers by 47%.
