Atogepant "I took a cruise and flew home and immediately began having vestibular issues in June. I was diagnosed with vestibular migraines, and they were terribly debilitating. Noises, lights, and food would trigger migraines every 2 hours. I was miserable and in the ER or doctor's office weekly. I was so terrified to go out with friends, work, or family gatherings because excruciating migraines would attack out of nowhere. In order for my insurance to cover Qulipta, I had to try several other classes of medications that gave me horrible side effects. I am currently 2 months in with taking Qulipta. By the second week, I saw a drastic decrease in the daily migraines. By the end of the first month, I was only having 1-2 migraines a day, but they were manageable. Now I have a slight daily headache and maybe only 1-4 migraines a week! I don't have any side effects, which is amazing, and I have added food back. Granted, some foods are still a trigger. I hope my tinnitus resolves too. Stay encouraged!"

Atogepant "I was able to get a 40-day supply of Qulipta from my PCP. I started taking it while in the middle of a 7-day long migraine. Once that migraine stopped, I stayed migraine-free for over 30 days. I started splitting my 60mg pills on my last 4 pills, but that caused breakthrough migraines. I decided to instead finish the last two days with full pills. Since stopping, I've had daily headaches again and am planning to go to the ER for the migraine 'cocktail'. I am miserable without the medication, but insurance won't cover it. The side effects that I had while on Qulipta included mild constipation and joint pain in my knees. I felt very tired the first few weeks on it, but I started taking it at night and that helped a lot. The joint pain was getting better towards the end of the month, and I think it may have completely resolved with the continuation of taking it. Fiber and mild laxatives helped with the constipation. I am extremely sad that I can't take the medication at this time."

Atogepant "I have been suffering daily migraines, constant sweating, nausea, and vertigo-type symptoms since taking a baseball to the head 7 years ago. Took all the shots and Botox, and nothing worked. Started Qulipta 60 mg approximately 6 months ago and have gone to 75% fewer migraines. My side effects are vivid dreams and not feeling hungry, though I haven’t lost anything (my own fault). It has been a life-changing drug. Doesn’t appear to work with weather changes, but I have other pills for that."

Atogepant "I've been taking 60mg for over a year. It was a miracle at first, down to 1-2 migraines a month from 9-15. I've been starting to have more migraines again though, plus my insurance is being crappy about covering it. Nurtec, Ajovy, and all the usual meds didn't help me. I also didn't realize that yeah, the hair loss and fatigue I've been feeling is probably from Qulipta until reading more reviews, ugh. I've dealt with dry mouth, dry skin, constipation from it since the beginning."

Atogepant "I’m 23 y/o and developed chronic daily migraines after a TBI. My migraines are largely vestibular, with frequent classic migraines as well. I was on Qulipta for 6 months and it brought my daily migraines down to about 15-20 migraine days per month, and the pain, vertigo, dizziness, etc. were all eased significantly. I had 0 side effects. My neurologist ended up switching me to one of the CGRP injectables and it does not work nearly as well. I miss Qulipta every day."

Atogepant "I started taking Qulipta (30mg) about two weeks ago in combination with another daily preventative migraine med. I have not had a headache since starting Qulipta, so I am cautiously optimistic. I was previously having between 2-4 a week. Notable side effects are loss of appetite (I have already lost 8 lbs), dry mouth, and my mouth also feels numb. This sensation of numbness in my mouth contributes to my loss of appetite, as things just don't taste the same. I don't really get any enjoyment from eating - my favorite foods just don't taste the same, so I don't really look forward to eating anything in particular, which I don't love, but I have suffered so long with migraines that if this medication can really give me the long-term relief that I have been looking for, it's a trade-off I'll accept. My insurance did not cover the medication entirely, but my doctor gave me a savings card and after using the card at my pharmacy, the balance owed was $0!"

Atogepant "I have had a constant migraine for years, making it hard to think or to do daily routines. I have tried every migraine medication out there, Qulipta is the only medication that has helped me. I do Botox every 3 months while taking Qulipta every night. Now I only have a few migraines a month and they are not as bad as they used to be. I’m so thankful for Qulipta, I got my life back."

Atogepant "Been on it for a year. 60 mg. It's been a game changer for me. I've had migraines/headaches since I was 9. I've been on every migraine medication and prophylactic imaginable. I take Maxalt a few times a month before my period, and that's it! I used to take it regularly. Only side effect is depression, but I don't know if that's the medication or situational. But seriously, the best medication ever!"

Atogepant "It is a wonderful miracle tablet. I take one daily in the morning and it avoids a migraine all day. This is the first relief I have had in 30 to 40 years. Too bad it's so expensive. I can't afford the prescription and have to rely on samples."

Atogepant "I started on 60 mg, which was great for my migraines, but the constipation was so severe that multiple doses of Miralax did nothing. I moved my dose down to 30 mg, and it’s less of a problem. It actually helps my IBS-D now, which is an added bonus. My migraines are far less, but I still have flare-ups occasionally. Still, much less than before. I’m able to enjoy life again. I was having 20-25+ migraine days a month, and now I have them only during a flare-up (which can last like a week). I highly recommend. Topamax, Effexor, and propranolol didn’t really help my migraines, but this did."

Atogepant "It does seem to be helping reduce my migraines, but I am constantly tired. I was hoping I would acclimate to it and the fatigue would go away, but so far, it hasn’t. I don’t know for sure if the fatigue is caused by Qulipta or not."

Atogepant "Worked great at first, but headaches started to slowly return. My headaches were easier to get rid of by taking 200 mg of Advil, but I still didn't want to keep waking up with headaches again. Doctor going to try Topamax when I pick up in a couple of days. Hope this works for the long term."

Atogepant "I have been on this since 04/29. I have not had a headache or a migraine since, this has been life-changing for me. I had 4 headaches a week and 5-6 migraines a month. Nothing since I started taking it. I am tired from the meds, so I take them at night. As far as weight loss, I have lost some weight as well."

Atogepant "I didn't have one migraine while I took it for 3 weeks. I was really excited. Unfortunately, the constipation and stomach pain were just not worth it. I tried 30 mg. Besides the side effects, this was the most effective migraine med I've ever tried."

Atogepant "I have been a lifelong headache sufferer for over 50 years, experiencing as many as 15-20 headaches a month. I have pretty much tried every option out there, from beta blockers to Botox and even acupuncture, with no real substantial benefit. I used to take 3-4 ibuprofen for each episode, but over the past 10 years, I could only take a triptan to abort the pain. I have been on only 10 mg of QULIPTA nightly for almost 3 months and have only had about 6 headaches. I haven't had too many side effects other than dealing with constipation, which I have had most of my life anyway, probably due to other meds. I'm going to stay on this for now to see how it goes for a few more months, but so far I am pleased with the results. I had to get this approved by my insurance company, and they wanted me to purchase it from a mail away service. I am currently using the Qulipta savings card, which is fantastic. I just need to purchase it at the local pharmacy."

Atogepant "13 days ago I started 30 mg daily of Qulipta with zero expectations. Today, I am going on day 13 of not having a migraine. I can honestly say this medication has changed my entire life in only 13 days. Upon taking my first dose, the first three days following, I had horrendous sharp stomach pain and constipation. These side effects are finally easing up but not entirely. For me, the pros versus cons in taking this medication was something I really thought long and hard about before taking it. I ultimately decided that stomach pain over multiple migraines a week was something I could deal with. I’m hoping it’s temporary and will subside even more than it already has. I have also been tired in a way that is kind of hard to describe but not to the point where I can’t function on a regular level. I feel like my body is getting used to this medication slowly but it feels like it's working! I can still feel the mood changes associated with my migraines, which is crazy, but overall 10/10"

Atogepant "I have been on 60mg of Qulipta for about a month. It's been great for my migraines. I only had one. I normally have 4 to 5 a week. I unfortunately had to stop taking it due to severe stomach issues. I had major constipation and bloating. My stomach looked like I was 4 months pregnant. Extremely uncomfortable. I can't live on laxatives every day either. Plus my insurance doesn't cover the medication and I can't afford to pay $1,200 every month. I will go back to taking Aimovig, which is covered and gave me no side effects."

Atogepant "I am in my 50s. History of chronic migraines for 30 years (20+ migraine days/month). Started 30mg Qulipta in December. Initial nausea for the first few weeks. Migraines were down to 1-2 a month, however, they have crept up again in the last 4 weeks, 2-3 migraine days per week. Going to try the 60 mg dose. The first few months on Qulipta were magical!"

Atogepant "Qulipta worked wonders for me for 1-1/2 years. I've had migraines my whole life, and this was the first preventative medication that truly stopped ALL my headaches. However, after 1-1/2 years, Qulipta stopped working altogether, and sadly I'm now getting daily migraines again."

Atogepant "For the last 30 years, I was having one migraine episode every 5 days, and now with Qulipta 30 mg once a day, it's been 2 weeks without any (using samples). I am going to ask for a prescription. It's a wonder drug!!! Finally, my wishes have manifested with this discovery. All usual sensitivity towards migraine triggers have gone. I am so happy with the results, you can't imagine. Yet, I have not seen any weight loss or any side effects in the last 2 weeks. Highly recommend trying this drug. Life changer. I take it with the first tea/snack in the morning."

Atogepant "I have tried multiple different prescription medications for migraine prevention, literally, none of them worked, and I had all but given up hope that I'd ever be free from the plague of chronic migraines. Until my neurologist put me on Qulipta 60 mg/day, I went from approximately 15 migraines a month down to 2. I can't say enough good things!"

"The only thing in over 20 years of trying that has helped the migraines. The first year, I did not have any migraines, now they are starting to come back, but nothing I cannot live with. The only side effect is dizziness when standing, even to the point of passing out a few times. I just need to remember not to get up quick and start walking. Still would not stop this, to be free of being in bed for days with a migraine is worth much more."

"I have been using Qulipta (atogepant) 60mg once daily now for 9 months. I have chronic migraines and daily chronic headaches. What I have found with using Qulipta is that my daily headaches have reduced in severity and now I can use ibuprofen to knock them down, whereas before, they would just develop into daily migraines. When starting Qulipta, I did experience nausea for a few months, but I stuck it out because I needed to find something that helped my headaches. I wanted to try Qulipta as a daily preventative because its sister medication, Ubrelvy, works great for me when I do get a migraine. I wish Qulipta would help slightly more, but I am already on the maximum dose. For now, I am continuing with the Qulipta daily along with my quarterly Botox regimen."
