For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "I switched from generic Flomax to Alfuzosin for BPH after dizzy episodes on Flomax were severe enough that I would have to lie down. Alfuzosin works about as well on the BPH symptoms of urgency and frequency as Flomax did, without the sudden dizzy episodes. However, while there are no sudden dizzy episodes with Alfuzosin, I am experiencing an all-the-time feeling of being tired and weak. I still can get through my workout, but the general overall fatigue is bothersome."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "Taking the drug at first seemed to work, however, after a while, I realized that I had lost the will to live. I became severely lethargic, weak, unstable, and had pains on my left side. I stopped taking the drug. I was also taking Moduretic, so between the two, I had my life totally screwed up. Frankly, more needs to be made immediately to clients, giving them a piece of paper with small or very small writing does not help at all. 10 mg after breakfast. I was given this drug in France."

"I have just taken 2.5 mg alfuzosin last night at 10 pm. Thinking the effects would be minor (I was wrong). Straightaway, I got neck ache and constant pressure in my head, stuffy nose, light headiness, ringing ears, heart palpitations if I got up to the toilet or moved anywhere. It’s been over 5 hours, and I can still feel weak and palpitations when I get up after sleeping. This drug is not worth it. I’d rather live with the prostatitis than put up with this."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "My doctor switched me from Tamsulosin (Flomax) to Alfuzosin 10 mg about 18 months ago. Immediately after starting to take it and for the first full year, it worked without side effects. Starting six months ago, I had small chest pains as well as general weakness. About one month ago, I almost passed out when I suddenly had a rapid heart event that lasted 20 minutes. Since then, I felt like I haven't been getting oxygen properly, general weakness, and two more short racing heart events. I stopped using Alfuzosin two days ago, and I already feel better. Never using it again."
