USAGE:
For use in preparation of a 0.5% solution for dipping.
MIXING AND APPLICATION:
To prepare 5 gallons of a 0.5% solution for dipping teats: Empty contents of 1/2 gallon Teat Dip 5% Concentrate into a 5 gallon clean container and add clean potable water to make 5 gallons of 0.5% Teat Dip solution.
To prepare 1 1/4 gallons of 0.5% solution for dipping teats: Use 1 pint of Teat Dip 5% Concentrate and add clean potable water to make 1 1/4 gallons of 0.5% Teat Dip solution.
Daily teat dipping should start 1 week before cow freshens. During lactation, dip each teat into 0.5% solution immediately after the cow is milked. When the cow is dried off, the teats should continue to be dipped in the 0.5% solution once a day for 3 to 4 days. Dip each teat so that the lower 1 inch of the teat has been covered with the 0.5% solution.
CAUTION:
This concentrate solution must be first diluted to a final concentration of 0.5% solution before using as a teat dip.
STORAGE:
Store at controlled room temperature between 59 F to 86 F (15 C to 30 C)
PRECAUTIONS:
Do not use the concentrate as a teat dip. Hypersensitivity to this product may occur. Use with caution.
Udder and teats of the cow should be thoroughly washed before milking.
Precipitate may occur with certain types of water used for dilution. It is preferable to use distilled or deionized water. Avoid contamination of animal feed or human ingestion. If contacted, thoroughly flush area with water.
