Suvaxyn MH/HPS Indications
For the vaccination of healthy swine as an aid in the prevention of death due to Haemophilus parasuis serovars 4 and 5, and as an aid in the reduction of clinical signs and lesions caused by Haemophilus parasuis 5, and as an aid in the prevention of respiratory disease associated with Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. This product contains adjuvanted, inactivated cultures of strains representing H. parasuis serovars 4 and 5 and of M. hyopneumoniae.
Administration And Dosage
Dosage: Aseptically inject 2 mL (2cc) intramuscularly per animal.
Baby pigs: Inject 2 mL at 7 to 10 days of age or older. Repeat with second dose 2 to 3 weeks after first vaccination.
Feeder pigs: Inject 2 mL at time of arrival and repeat vaccination 2 to 3 weeks later. Breeding stock: Vaccinate susceptible animals or breeding stock of unknown status with two doses given 2 to 3 weeks apart, prior to introduction into a herd.
Suvaxyn MH/HPS Caution
Store at 2° to 7°C (35° to 45°F). Avoid freezing. Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened. Allergic reactions, although rare, may occur. The antidote is epinephrine. Do not mix with other vaccines or products. Contains penicillin and thimerosal as preservatives.
Warning
Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.
