Directions For Use
Please see the table below for specific mixing and feeding directions for each animal. Use the plastic scoop enclosed in the pouch to measure the Ultra Start® Multi powder (holds appropriately 1 dry ounce) and a standard 8 oz liquid measuring device. Add the powder to warm (105°-110° F) water and mix thoroughly with a wire whisk. For best results, give the first feeding of Ultra Start® Multi solution as soon as possible after birth and continue feeding as directed for the first 24 hours of life. If your animal is more than 24 hours old, provide Ultra Start® Multi mixed 50:50 with prepared milk replacer for another 2-3 days before changing to all milk replacer.
IMPORTANT- Every animal is an individual. Adjust the amounts fed according to the newborn’s birth weight, the environmental conditions, and the amount of maternal colostrum available. If you have questions about nutrition requirements, please consult with your veterinarian or animal nutritionist.
STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE - Refrigerate unused Ultra Start® Multi solution separate of food items promptly after mixing. Reheat gently over warm water and mix thoroughly before feeding. Do not microwave or freeze the solution. Discard unused refrigerated Ultra Start® Multi solution after 24 hours. Store dry Ultra Start® Multi powder in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place. Best if used within 12 months of manufacture. Shelf life can be extended by freezing the dry powder in a tightly sealed container.
