ACTIVE INGREDIENT:

FOR USE IN CONFINED CATTLE FEEDS ONLY

INDICATION:

For increased rate of weight gain, improved feed efficiency and increased carcass leanness in confined cattle greater than 400 kg, when fed during the last 28 to 42 days prior to slaughter.

DOSAGE:

Recommended dosage of ractopamine hydrochloride:

● 10-30 ppm in final feed for increased rate of weight gain and improved feed efficiency

● 20-30 ppm in final feed for improved carcass leanness

IMPORTANT:

Must be thoroughly mixed into feeds before use. Do not feed undiluted.

MIXING DIRECTIONS:

Thoroughly mix 2.5 to 7.5 kg of RACTOPAMINE 4 Premix in 1000 kg of complete beef feed (100% dry matter basis) to provide from 10 to 30 ppm ractopamine hydrochloride per tonne of feed. An intermediate blending step should be performed to ensure adequate mixing when the required amount of premix is less than 5 kg per tonne (1000 kg) of complete feed.

NOTE:

RACTOPAMINE 4 should not be used in liquid feed supplements for further blending into complete beef feed.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS:

Feed continuously as the sole ration to finishing cattle greater than 400 kg for 28 to 42 days prior to slaughter.

CAUTIONS:

Do not use in liquid feed supplements for further blending into complete beef feed. The stability of this drug in liquid feed supplements has not been evaluated.

WARNINGS:

No withdrawal period is required in cattle when treated according to the label.

Do not use in calves to be processed for veal.

Do not use in lactating dairy cattle.

When mixing and handling RACTOPAMINE 4 Premix, use protective clothing, impervious gloves, and a dust mask. Operators should wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. If accidental eye contact occurs, immediately rinse eyes thoroughly with water.

The active ingredient in RACTOPAMINE 4 Premix is ractopamine hydrochloride. Ractopamine hydrochloride is a beta-adrenergic agonist. Individuals with cardiovascular disease should exercise special caution to avoid exposure.

Keep out of reach of children.

Not for use in humans.
