Farm Buildings, Vehicles, etc.:
Evacuate animals from buildings or vehicles. Remove all litter and manure from floors, walls and surfaces of barns, pens, stalls, chutes and other facilities. Preclean all surfaces using a germicidal detergent (e.g., Proquat) and rinse with water. Thoroughly wet all surfaces with Profilm® Disinfectant. Ventilate buildings and other closed spaces and allow treatment to dry before housing livestock. Rinse feeders and waterers with potable water before reuse.
Fogging: Profilm® may be applied by fogging as an adjunct to regular cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Apply Profilm® at 1% (1:100 or 50 mL Profilm® in 5 L water) to 2% (1:50 or 100 mL Profilm® in 5 L water) as a fog (wet mist) either preceding or following regular cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Fog until the area is moist using automatic wet fogger according to manufacturer’s use directions. Ventilate buildings and other closed spaces and allow treatment to dry before housing livestock. Rinse feeders and waterers with potable water prior to reuse.
Livestock Equipment
Empty all feeding and watering equipment. Preclean all equipment using a germicidal detergent as above and rinse with water. Thoroughly wet all parts of the equipment with Profilm® Disinfectant. Immerse all halters, ropes, forks, shovels and scrapers as well as other types of equipment. Do not spray onto feed to be consumed by animals or birds. Rinse feeders and waterers thoroughly with potable water prior to reuse.
