Prestige Tetanus Indications

This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy horses, cattle, swine and sheep 6 months of age or older against tetanus. For more information regarding safety and efficacy data, go to productdata.aphis.usda.gov.

DOSE: For primary vaccination aseptically administer 1 mL intramuscularly to horses, cattle and swine or 0.5 mL to sheep and repeat with a single dose in 3 - 4 weeks. Historically, annual revaccination with this product has been recommended. The need for annual booster vaccination has not been established for this product. Consult your veterinarian.

CAUTIONS: Store at 2°-8°C (35°-46°F). Shake well before using. Do not mix with other products. This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Local reaction may occur if this product is given subcutaneously. Inject deep into the muscle only. Anaphylactic reactions may occur. If allergic reaction occurs, treat with epinephrine. Care should be used to avoid injecting your own fingers, hands, or other body parts. Accidental injection can cause serious local reactions. In case of human exposure, contact a physician. Injury should be followed by a booster dose of vaccine containing tetanus toxoid. Consult your veterinarian regarding indications and precautions for the use of tetanus antitoxin.
