MicoDerm Indications

MicoDerm is an antifungal shampoo for use in adjunctive therapy for ringworm, and for the control of Malassezia dermatitis in dogs and cats.

Directions For Use

Diagnosis of suspected ringworm and its monitoring should be under veterinary supervision since successful ringworm cure may also require treatment with systemic antifungal agents. Since ringworm spores can also infect humans, wear rubber gloves when treating for ringworm. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING. Apply to wet coat. Rub into skin and coat. Lather well. Wait 5-10 minutes before rinsing. For ringworm, treat daily for at least the first five days. Frequency of application may be decreased to 2-3 times weekly and continued until clinical and mycological cure is achieved. If ringworm signs fail to ameliorate within 3 weeks or if skin irritation develops, discontinue treatment and consult a veterinarian. For Malassezia, repeat application as necessary up to once daily to control the clinical signs.

Active Ingredient

Miconazole 2.0% w/w (as Miconazole Nitrate) in a shampoo vehicle.

Contraindications

Dogs and cats which are hypersensitive to any component of this formulation should not be treated.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Store in a cool dry place (15-30°C). Do not freeze.
