Fly-Rid Plus Multi-purpose Spray Caution

Harmful if absorbed through skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, or using tobacco. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Applicators and other handlers must wear the following:

● Long-sleeved shirt and long pants

● Shoes and socks

● Chemical-resistant gloves (such as barrier laminate, nitrile rubber, neoprene rubber or Viton)

User Safety Requirements

Follow manufacturers instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables exist, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry. Discard clothing and other absorbent materials that have been drenched or heavily contaminated with this product’s concentrate. Do not reuse them.

User Safety Recommendations

Users should wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. Users should remove clothing/PPE immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing. Users should remove PPE immediately after handling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing.

Environmental Hazards

This pesticide is extremely toxic to aquatic organisms including fish and invertebrates. To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area.

This pesticide is highly toxic to bees and other pollinating insects exposed to direct treatment or residues on blooming crops or weeds. Do not apply this product or allow it to drift to blooming crops or weeds whiles bees or other pollinating insects are foraging the treatment area.

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

USE RESTRICTIONS

● Except when applying to pets or livestock, do not enter or allow others to enter until sprays have dried.

● Do not use on crops used for food, forage, or pasture.

● Do not apply this product with a sponge.

● Except when applying to pets and livestock, do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift.

● Except when applying to pets and livestock, only protected handlers may be in the area during application.

● When used in Dairy Barns or Facilities: Close milk bulk tank lids to prevent contamination from spray and from dead or falling insects.

● Remove or cover milking utensils before application. Wash teats of animals before milking.

● Not for use in outdoor residential misting systems.

● Do not use in commercial food/feed handling establishments, restaurants, or other commercial facilities where food is commercially prepared, processed, served, or stored.

● Do not use in institutions, schools, office buildings, or similar commercial buildings.

● Do not breathe vapors or spray mist.

● Cover or remove all food processing surfaces and utensils during treatment, and thoroughly wash before use.

● Do not apply when food or drinking water is present.

● Not for broadcast use on indoor residential surfaces.

● Do not use in aircraft cabins.

● Not for use in commercial animal premise automatic misting systems.

● Do not contaminate food or feedstuffs.

Indoor Application

For spot application only. Do not use as a space spray indoors. In the home, cover all food processing surfaces and utensils during treatment or thoroughly wash before use. Cover or remove exposed food/feed. Remove pets, birds, and cover fish aquariums before surface applications. Do not use on humans. Do not allow children or pets to contact treated areas until surfaces are dry. Do not enter or allow other to enter until sprays have dried.

Surface Spraying

Hold sprayer approximately 12 to 15 inches away from surfaces to be treated and spray until surface is damp, but not to the point of run-off.

For 60-Day Control of Cockroaches, Waterbugs, Palmetto Bugs, Scorpions, Millipedes, Centipedes, Sowbugs, Pillbugs, Ants, Silverfish, Firebrats, Spiders, Crickets, Clover Mites, Cheese Mites, Granary Weevils, Rice Weevils, Confused Flour Beetles, Rust Red Flour Beetles, Drugstore Beetles, Meal Worms, Grain Mites, and Cadelles:

Direct Fly-RID® Plus spray into hiding places, cracks and crevices, and behind shelves and drawers.

To Control Silverfish:

Spray bookcases with this product.

To Control Ants:

Spray trails, nests, and points of entry with this product.

To Control Carpet Beetles:

Spray edges of carpeting and under carpeting and rugs. Make localized applications of this product to floor and baseboards. Spray until surface is damp, but not to the point of run-off. Spray directly into cracks, crevices and infested areas of shelving. Repeat application every 2 weeks.

To Control Bed Bugs:

Spray mattresses lightly with this product, particularly around tufts and seams. Take beds apart and spray in all joints. Allow to dry thoroughly before remaking bed. Treat baseboards, moldings, and floors. Repeat application every 2 weeks.

To Control Fleas (Adults and Larvae) and Ticks, including Ticks which may carry Lyme Disease (Adults and Larvae):

Spot spray treatment of infested areas, pet beds, resting quarters, nearby cracks and crevices, along and behind baseboards, moldings, window and door frames, and for localized treatment of floors and floor coverings. Place fresh bedding in animal quarters following treatment. Repeat treatment every 2 weeks or 14 days as needed. Allow this product to dry thoroughly before allowing pets to contact treated areas. To control the source of flea infestations, treat your pet with a product registered for animal application. Also, treat your yard with a product registered for yard application.

To Control Clothes Moths:

Remove any infested articles from storage, brush thoroughly, and air for several hours in sunlight, if possible. Apply Fly-RID® Plus spray liberally to empty chests, closets, bureaus, and other storage areas directing the spray into cracks, joints, and crevices. After airing, infested articles may be treated lightly, keeping the spray nozzle at least 3 feet from fabric to avoid staining.

To Kill Lice and Louse Eggs:

Spray in an inconspicuous area to test for possible staining or discoloration. Inspect again after drying then proceed to spray entire area to be treated with this product. Spray from a distance of 8 to 10 inches. Treat only those garments and parts of bedding, including mattresses and furniture that cannot be either laundered or dry cleaned. Allow all treated articles to dry thoroughly before use.

On Livestock

For Use To Protect Cattle (Beef and Dairy), Goats, Sheep, Hogs, and Horses:

To Control of Horn Flies, Face Flies, House Flies, Mosquitoes, and Gnats:

Apply a light mist of this product sufficient to wet the surface of the hair. For face flies, spray face and head. Do not spray into eyes.

To Control of Stable Flies, Horse Flies, and Deer Flies:

Apply this product at a rate of 2 ounces per adult animal, sufficient to wet the hair thoroughly. Repeat treatment daily or at regular intervals to give continued protection.

To Control of Blood-Sucking Lice:

Apply this product to the infested areas of the animal using a stiff brush to get the spray to the base of the hair. Repeat every 3 weeks if required.

To Control of Poultry Lice:

Spray roosts, walls and nests or cages thoroughly with this product. This should be followed by spraying over the birds with a fine mist.

To Control of Bed Bugs and Mites in Poultry Houses:

Spray this product into crevices of roost poles, cracks in walls, and cracks in nest where the bed bugs and mites hide.

FOR PET DOG USE

Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, medicated, aged, pregnant, or nursing animals. Sensitivities may occur after using any pesticide product for pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately.

To Control Fleas, Ticks, and Lice:

Start spraying at the tail moving the dispenser rapidly and making sure that the animal’s entire body is covered, including the legs and under body, with this product. While spraying, fluff the hair so that the spray will penetrate into the skin. Make sure spray wets thoroughly, but does not saturate animal. Do not spray into eyes or face. Avoid contact with genitalia. Use protective gloves or mitts when applying this product. Repeat every 35 days as necessary for control.

Note: Not for use on puppies less than 12 weeks of age.

DO NOT USE ON CATS OR KITTENS.

Outdoor Application

Use Restrictions

Do not water the treated area to the point of run-off. Do not make applications during rain.

All outdoor application must be limited to spot or crack-and-crevice treatments only, except for the following permitted uses:

1. Treatment to soil or vegetation around structures;

2. Applications to lawns, turf, and other vegetation;

3. Applications to building foundations, up to a maximum height of 3 feet.

Other than applications to building foundations, all outdoor applications to impervious surfaces such as sidewalks, driveways, patios, porches, and structural surfaces (such as windows, doors, and eaves) are limited to spot and crack-and-crevice applications only.

Application is prohibited directly into sewers or drains, or to any area like a gutter where drainage to sewers, storm drains, water bodies, or aquatic habitat can occur. Do not allow the product to enter any drain during or after application.

Application Instructions

For Use as a Perimeter Treatment:

To control Ticks, including Ticks which may carry Lyme Disease:

Use this product as a residual treatment to control ticks, including the Deer Tick (Ixodes dammini), Lone Star Tick (Amblyomma americanum), Brown Dog Tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus), American Dog Tick (Dermacentor variabilis), and Western Black Legged Tick (Ixodes pacificus). For each of the areas listed below, apply until surface is wet, but not to the point of run-off.

Treat around windows and doors, porches, screens, eaves, patios, garages, under stairways, and in crawl spaces where these pests may enter.

Treat a band of vegetation and leaf litter 3 to 6 feet wide around the outside of buildings to help control ticks occurring there. To help control ticks in outdoor activity areas, treat a band of vegetation and leaf litter 6 to 10 feet wide and adjacent to activity areas, especially where dense vegetation occurs.

To Control Garden Insects:

For use on roses, dahlias, asters, and other ornamentals to kill Japanese Beetles hit by spray, as well as Whiteflies, Aphids, Exposed Thrips, Spiders, Red Mites, and Leafminers. This product may be used on plants as a multi-purpose spray in small gardens and for spot treatments of incipient insect infestations to prevent spreading in large garden areas.

This product may also be used on other plants such as African violets, azaleas, begonias, camellias, carnations, chrysanthemums, delphiniums, dogwoods, English ivy, euonymus, fuchsia, geraniums, Crassula grape vines, Kentia palms, laurels, marigolds, rhododendrons, rubber plants, snapdragons, stocks, wandering Jews, and zinnias.

This product is effective when used as directed against Whiteflies, Aphids, Spider Mites, Red Mites, Exposed Thrips, Lace Bugs, Japanese Beetles, Pavement Ants, Clover Mites, and Armyworms.

When spraying plants with this product, do not operate closer than 18 inches. Use sweeping motion. Be cautious about wetting tender foliage, young plants, and new growth. Do not spray plants when temperatures exceed 90°F. Contact insects directly with spray/this product whenever possible.

Not for use on plants being grown for sale or other commercial uses, for commercial seed production, or for research purposes. Not for use in commercial greenhouses.

Storage And Disposal

Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.

PESTICIDE STORAGE: Store in a cool, dry and secure area. Store in original sealed container away from food or feed.

PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on-site or at an approved waste disposal facility.

CONTAINER HANDLING: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container.

If empty: Place in trash or offer for recycling if available.

If partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.
