Keep refrigerated at 35-45°F. Do not freeze. Shake well before using.
This product is intended for use in healthy horses as an aid in the reduction of morbidity and mortality due to intoxication with Crotalus atrox toxin. Three doses are recommended, spaced one month apart, and subsequent booster doses are recommended at six month intervals. Each dose is 2 cc, given intramuscularly (pectoral). Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
Administration should be under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. Occasionally, swelling may occur at the injection site. Such swellings typically resolve in a few days without intervention but may occasionally require empirical treatment depending upon the presentation. Rarely, anaphylactic or other adverse systemic reactions may occur. If adverse systemic reactions occur, appropriate therapy with epinephrine or other antianaphylactic drugs should be instituted immediately.
