INGREDIENTS

Ultra Start^® 150 PLUS provides a source of essential nutrients to newborn calves that do not receive an adequate quantity or quality of maternal colostrum.

MIXING AND FEEDING DIRECTIONS

Add one packet (350 grams) of dry Ultra Start^® 150 PLUS powder to 1 1/2 quarts clean, warm water at 110-120°F and mix thoroughly until completely dissolved. Allow the solution to cool to 100-105°F before feeding.

Feed the entire volume of solution as soon as possible after birth (within 2 hours if possible). Begin feeding calf milk replacer at the next feeding 6-12 hours later. For best results, bottle-feed Ultra Start^® 150 PLUS. Use an esophageal tube feeder only if necessary to ensure consumption.

Every calf is an individual. The directions above are written for a calf that is about 75-100 pounds at birth. Adjust the amounts fed according to the calf’s body weight, the environmental conditions, and the level of calf disease on your farm. Consult with your veterinarian if you have questions.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE

Store dry Ultra Start^® 150 PLUS powder in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place. Best if used within 18 months of manufacture. Dry powder may be tightly sealed and stored in the freezer to extend shelf life. Feed mixed Ultra Start^® 150 PLUS solution immediately-do not store reconstituted colostrum replacer.
