Biosolve™ AFC is used as a general cleaner in an alternating pH program for hatcheries, poultry, turkey, swine, cattle and other animal confinement facilities to remove detergent residues, mineral scale, dirt, grime, protein, and oils as well as minerals and adherent films.
Alternating between Lanxess alkaline, neutral, and acid-based cleaners maximizes surface cleanliness and, therefore, prepares the surface for the second step of disinfection.
Biosolve™ AFC is used in poultry hatcheries to clean walls, floors, ceilings of rooms, processing equipment, setters and hatchers.
Biosolve™ AFC is used in poultry, swine and meat processing plants. It is used for floors, walls and shelves, processing equipment, utensils and walk-in-coolers. It cleans and brightens stainless steel, glass, plastic, concrete and tile in poultry, meat and canning plants.
Directions For Use
Foaming: Prepare a 8-24 mL/litre (1-3 ounces per gallon) stock solution of Biosolve™ AFC, or calibrate your dosing equipment to achieve this dilution. Apply using a foam lance onto all surfaces at an application rate of 250 mL/m2 (0.8 oz/ft2). Allow a contact time of 5-10 minutes before thoroughly rinsing all surfaces with clean water at high pressure. After thorough cleaning and rinsing, let surfaces dry as much as possible and then follow-up with an appropriate Lanxess disinfecting solution. Consult a Lanxess Technical Representative for recommendations.
Low or High Pressure Spraying: Prepare a stock solution of Biosolve™ AFC 2-24 mL/litre (0.25-3.0 ounces per gallon), or calibrate your dosing equipment to achieve this dilution. Spray the solution onto all surfaces at an application rate of 500 mL/m2 (1.6 oz/ft2). Using hot water (130-160°F/54-71°C) will improve the effectiveness of the product, particularly in high grease situations. Allow contact time of 5-10 minutes before thoroughly rinsing all surfaces with clean water at high pressure. After thorough cleaning and rinsing, let surfaces dry as much as possible and then follow-up with an appropriate Lanxess disinfecting solution. Consult a Lanxess Technical Representative for recommendations.
Note: Must use compatible O-Ring seals.
Food Processing Equipment, Utensils and Other Food Contact Surfaces: Follow foam cleaning instructions. Thoroughly rinse cleaned surfaces with potable water before they are reused. Where recommended or permitted, apply a sanitizer solution to food contact surfaces before reuse.
