BioSentry® BioQuat™ 20 Disinfectant is an efficient disinfectant and sanitizer of high potency. Recommended use solutions are odourless, non-corrosive to metal surfaces and are non-staining.

PRECAUTIONS: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

DANGER: IRRITANT TO EYES. DO NOT GET IN EYES, ON SKIN OR ON CLOTHING. HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED. AVOID CONTAMINATION OF FOOD. WHEN HANDLING THE CONCENTRATE, OR WHEN THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR EYE CONTACT, WEAR GOGGLES. IF THE BUILDING OR ROOM MUST BE ENTERED, THEN THE INDIVIDUALS ENTERING THE BUILDING OR ROOM MUST WEAR A SELF-CONTAINED RESPIRATOR APPROVED BY NIOSH / MSHA, GOGGLES, LONG SHIRT SLEEVES AND PANTS. FOR GOOD HYGIENE PRACTICES, WEAR CHEMICAL RESISTANT GLOVES WHEN USING THIS PRODUCT.

Do not spray or apply this product unless the workers are wearing a face mask with spray mist eliminating cartridges. Do not use BioSentry® BioQuat™ 20 Disinfectant on feeders or waterers and do not allow contact with food, feed or drinking water. BioSentry® BioQuat™ 20 Disinfectant should not be mixed with other cleaning or disinfecting compounds. Do not use BioSentry® BioQuat™ 20 Disinfectant on vaccination needles, equipment or diluent bottles as the residual virucide may render vaccines ineffective.

FIRST AID: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. For contact with eyes, call a physician. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse. If swallowed, promptly drink a large quantity of milk, egg whites, gelatine solution, or if these are not available, drink large quantities of water. Avoid alcohol. Call a physician immediately. Take container, label or product name with you when seeking medical attention.

TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION: Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage. Measures against circulatory shock, respiratory depression, and convulsions may be needed. Refer to MSDS sheet.

Disposal

(1) Rinse the emptied container thoroughly and add the rinsings to the treatment site.

(2) Follow provincial instructions for any required additional cleaning of the container prior to its disposal or reconditioning.

(3) Make the empty container unsuitable for further use.

(4) Dispose of the container in accordance with provincial requirements.

(5) For information on the disposal of unused, unwanted product and the cleanup of spills, contact the Provincial Regulatory Agency.

Directions For Use

This product is not to be used as a terminal sterilant / high level disinfectant on any surface or instrument that (1) is introduced directly into the human body, either into or in contact with the bloodstream or normally sterile areas of the body, or (2) contacts intact mucous membranes but which does not ordinarily penetrate the blood barrier or otherwise enter normally sterile areas of the body. This product may be used to preclean or decontaminate critical or semi-critical devices prior to sterilization or high-level disinfection.

HOSPITAL, VETERINARY CLINIC, COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL DISINFECTION: (4 ml / litre). Use on floors, walls, bed frames, furnishings and bathroom fixtures. Suitable for disinfection of glass, smooth metal, glazed porcelain, plastic, finished wood, finished leather and similar non-porous, hard environmental surfaces.

Areas with light soils may be cleaned and disinfected in one step using a clean brush, mop or cloth. Apply a solution of 4 mL of this product in litre of water. Heavily soiled areas should be precleaned before disinfection. Treated surfaces must be thoroughly wet and allowed to remain moist for at least 10 minutes for proper disinfection. Prepare fresh use solutions daily. Do not reuse solution. Discard solutions when they become soiled.

GENERAL FARM DISINFECTANT USES:

(4 ml / litre)

(a) Remove all livestock and feeds from premises, cars, trucks, coops or crates to be treated.

(b) Remove all litter, bedding and manure from floors, walls and surfaces of facilities traversed or occupied by animals.

(c) Empty all feeding devices and watering appliances.

(d) Clean all surfaces with a good detergent and rinse thoroughly.

(e) Saturate all surfaces with BioSentry® BioQuat™ 20 Disinfectant diluted at 4 ml per litre of water using a brush, cloth, mop or mechanical spraying device. Immerse all halters, ropes and other types of equipment used in handling and restraining animals as well as forks, shovels, scrapers used in removing litter and manure. Treated surfaces must remain moist for at least 10 minutes for proper bactericidal and virucidal action.

(f) Ventilate buildings, trucks, coops and other closed spaces. Do not house livestock, or use equipment until treatment has thoroughly dried.

(g) Thoroughly scrub treated feeding and watering equipment with detergent and rinse with potable water before reuse.

DISINFECTING CITRUS FRUIT AND VEGETABLE TRANSPORTATION AND PROCESSING EQUIPMENT, TRUCKS, CARTONS, CRATES, UTENSILS, ETC.: Treatments can be applied to trucks, attached trailers, and field harvesting equipment including cargo area, wheels, tires, undercarriage, hood, roof, fenders and any other part of the equipment that can be taken into infested areas. Thoroughly clean all surfaces with soap or detergent and rinse with water. Then saturate surfaces with a 1:100 use dilution for a period of 10 minutes. Allow to air dry. All surfaces that come in contact with food or crop must be rinsed with potable water before reuse.

FOR FOOD PROCESSING PLANTS: (4 ml / litre) Use BioSentry® BioQuat™ 20 Disinfectant for cleaning hard surfaces and equipment. For food contact surfaces, rinse well with potable water before reuse. Avoid contamination of food during application and storage.

FOR SPRAY APPLICATIONS: Following application as a low pressure or high-pressure spray, do not enter or allow others to enter treated area until sprays have dried.

APPLICATION RESTRICTIONS: Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift. Only protected handlers may be in the area during application.
