AviPro 105 ND-ChickThis treatment applies to the following species:
Newcastle Disease Vaccine, Killed Virus, Oil Emulsion
U.S. Vet. Lic. No.: 196
Active Ingredient(s): AVIPRO® 105 ND-CHICK is produced with a high concentration of a high titering strain of Newcastle disease virus suspended in a stable oil emulsion. When injected, the oil emulsion controls the absorption of the virus and enhances the development of high levels of immunity.
AviPro 105 ND-Chick Indications
AVIPRO® 105 ND-CHICK has been developed specifically for use in young chicks in geographical areas where highly pathogenic Newcastle disease is endemic. It is recommended that it be injected subcutaneously into one day old chicks and that it be used in conjunction with the Hitchner B1 strain of live virus Newcastle disease vaccine. Depending on the prevalence of Newcastle disease, this vaccination program may be used as late as 10 days of age.
Dosage and AdministrationThe vaccine should be warmed to room temperature before using. Shake well before using. Inject subcutaneously in the lower neck region using aseptic technique.
Inject all of the birds in the flock with 1/10 mL (0.1 mL) per chick.
When given at 1-10 days of age in conjunction with live virus Newcastle disease vaccine, it neutralizes the parental antibody that is present in the chicks and enables the live virus vaccine to replicate and provide rapid immunity to the chick. This protects the chick until the immune system responds to the killed virus oil emulsion vaccine to provide higher and longer lasting levels of active immunity.
This is a killed virus vaccine. There is no danger of spread to susceptible birds.
Precaution(s): Store below 45°F (7°C). Do not freeze.
Use the entire contents of the bottle when first opened.
Warning(s): Do not vaccinate within 42 days before slaughter.
