Important warnings This medicine can cause some serious health issues

    Increased Risk of Mortality, MI, Stroke, Venous Thromboembolism, and Thrombosis of Vascular Access
  • Increased risk of thrombotic vascular events, including major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE).1

  • Targeting a hemoglobin level >11 g/dL is expected to further increase risks of mortality and arterial/venous thrombotic events.1

  • Studies have not identified a target hemoglobin level, dose, or dosing strategy that does not increase these risks.1

  • Use lowest dose sufficient to reduce RBC transfusion requirements.1

Side effects include:

Most common adverse effects (≥10%): hypertension, diarrhea.
