Major Side Effects

You should check with your doctor immediately if any of these side effects occur when taking alcaftadine ophthalmic:

  • Burning or stinging sensation in the eye
  • itching of the eyes
  • red, sore eyes

  • sweating
  • trouble sleeping
  • unusual tiredness or weakness
  • vomiting
