Important warnings
This medicine can cause some serious health issues
You should not use this medicine if you have bladder obstruction or urination problems, uncontrolled high blood pressure, severe coronary artery disease, narrow-angle glaucoma, a stomach ulcer, or uncontrolled asthma.
Do not use this medicine if you have taken an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days.
A dangerous drug interaction could occur.
MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue injection, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, and tranylcypromine.
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have:

severe drowsiness, weak or shallow breathing;
-
tremor, loss of coordination, muscle movements you cannot control;
-
fast, slow, or uneven heartbeats;
-
severe dizziness or light-headed feeling, like you might pass out;
-
mood changes, confusion, irritability, hallucinations;
-
easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness or tired feeling;
-
little or no urinating;
-
seizure (convulsions); or
-
severe headache, vision changes, ringing in your ears.
Side effects such as dry mouth, constipation, and confusion may be more likely in older adults.
Common side effects may include:

constipation, diarrhea;
-
upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite;
-
dizziness, drowsiness, weakness;
-
dry mouth, nose, or throat;
-
feeling anxious or excited;
-
headache; or
-
sleep problems (insomnia).
