Brompheniramine / Dextromethorphan Side Effects
Applies to brompheniramine / dextromethorphan: oral liquid.
Important warnings
This medicine can cause some serious health issues
Do not use if you are taking a MAO inhibitor (certain antibiotics or medicines for anxiety, mood disorders, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping a MAO inhibitor.
A dangerous drug interaction could occur.
Tell your doctor about all other medicines you use before taking brompheniramine and dextromethorphan.
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using brompheniramine and dextromethorphan and call your doctor at once if you have:

cough that will not stop; or
-
fever, rash, headache.
Common side effects may include:

drowsiness; or
-
feeling restless or excited (especially in children).
