Drug Interaction Report
2 potential interactions and/or warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- amoxicillin / vonoprazan
- fosamprenavir
Interactions between your drugs
fosamprenavir vonoprazan
Applies to: fosamprenavir, amoxicillin / vonoprazan
Talk to your doctor before using fosamprenavir together with vonoprazan. By reducing stomach acid, vonoprazan can decrease the absorption and blood levels of fosamprenavir and make the medication less effective against HIV. Your doctor or pharmacist may be able to offer suggestions on safer alternatives if you require treatment for stomach acid or ulcer while you are being treated with fosamprenavir. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
fosamprenavir food
Applies to: fosamprenavir
Fosamprenavir suspension should be administered on an empty stomach in adults, but with food in pediatric patients to help the taste and compliance. If vomiting occurs within 30 minutes after dosing the suspension, the dose should be repeated. Fosamprenavir tablets may be taken with or without food. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
