Sucroferric oxyhydroxide and minocycline should not be taken orally at the same time. Products that contain iron such as sucroferric oxyhydroxide may interfere with the absorption of minocycline and reduce its effectiveness. Iron can bind to minocycline in the gastrointestinal tract, which may prevent their absorption into the bloodstream and possibly reduce their effectiveness.
