Drug Interaction Report
2 potential interactions and/or warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- dehydroepiandrosterone
- Onfi (clobazam)
Interactions between your drugs
dehydroepiandrosterone (prasterone) cloBAZam
Applies to: dehydroepiandrosterone, Onfi (clobazam)
Dehydroepiandrosterone (prasterone) may increase serum concentrations of some benzodiazepines. The suggested mechanism is inhibition of the CYP450 3A4 enzyme responsible for metabolism of these drugs; however, evidence that dehydroepiandrosterone (prasterone) can inhibit CYP450 3A4 is conflicting. Patients should be observed for adverse effects and dosage adjustments should be made if indicated.

Drug and food interactions
cloBAZam food
Applies to: Onfi (clobazam)
GENERALLY AVOID: Alcohol may potentiate some of the pharmacologic effects of CNS-active agents. Use in combination may result in additive central nervous system depression and/or impairment of judgment, thinking, and psychomotor skills.
MANAGEMENT: Patients receiving CNS-active agents should be warned of this interaction and advised to avoid or limit consumption of alcohol. Ambulatory patients should be counseled to avoid hazardous activities requiring complete mental alertness and motor coordination until they know how these agents affect them, and to notify their physician if they experience excessive or prolonged CNS effects that interfere with their normal activities.
