Altoprev is used in the treatment of high cholesterol; hyperlipoproteinemia; high cholesterol, familial heterozygous; hyperlipoproteinemia type iib, elevated ldl vldl; hyperlipoproteinemia type iia, elevated ldl and belongs to the drug class statins. Not for use in pregnancy. Altoprev 20 mg is not a controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA).
