Nasal steroids
What are Nasal steroids?
Nasal steroids (also called nasal corticosteroids) are medicines containing corticosteroids such as beclomethasone, budesonide, fluticasone, or triamcinolone in a preparation designed for nasal use.
Corticosteroids are very effective at reducing inflammation especially that caused by allergies. Nasal corticosteroids relieve symptoms such as nasal and sinus congestion, mucus production, and nasal swelling caused by conditions such as hay fever or allergic rhinitis. Regular use of nasal corticosteroids can make the nasal passages less sensitive to triggers such as pollen, animal dander or dust mites.
