Usual Adult Dose for hemodialysis
Add to bicarbonate concentrate for a 2 micromolar (110 mcg/L) concentration of iron (III) in the final hemodialysate
Comments:
- This drug is not intended for use in peritoneal dialysis.
- This drug has not been studied in home hemodialysis.
Use: Replacement of iron to maintain hemoglobin in hemodialysis-dependent kidney disease (HDD-CKD)

Storage requirements:
- Store at controlled room temperature; protect from light
- Keep ampoules in pouch until time of use
Reconstitution/preparation techniques:
- Only add to bicarbonate concentrate, NOT to the acid concentrate mixture
- Use within 24 hours of preparation of the bicarbonate concentrate mixture.
Patient advice:
- Advise patients who could become pregnant to use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 2 weeks after completion of therapy.
