For Expectoration: It helped my asthma a lot, diminishing the cough quite a lot. I didn't get any bronchospasm from it despite the warnings, however some itching appeared but soon went away. Before my asthma was under control it also helped a lot by making the mucus much easier to cough up. It works very well every single day (if a stop taking it the coughing soon enough increases). |
5.1
For Cough: Took Mucinex at 5 in the afternoon. Around 8 took my night meds, Next morning stumbling around, Body felt like it was flooded with heat-chest and arm pains. Had myself checked out and was ok. Pulled up website to get complete list of medicines not to take it with and found my answer there. If you have access to the internet I would put the OTC medicine in and get a complete list of what not to take it with. For Cough: Medicine works very well for the specified 12 hours but wow it is very strong. I weigh 105 pounds and taking an entire pill will have me falling over and seeing double very shakey also but giving it a seven because at least I can breathe now and this is the only medication that works for that my inhaler won't even help me any more. |

For Expectoration: I am suffering from chronic sinusitis for at least 60 years I went through lavage every two weeks in my teen age years, I had sinus surgery and different medications to include antibiotics, steroids and more, nothing made a difference. Today I am taking the Acetylcysteine 200 mg tablets lemon flavor called Reolin 3 times a day. It is made in Germany and I got it in Israel. I am feeling much better it clears the mucus and my breathing is better. It is not a cure but this is the best help I had so far.
