For Hepatitis C "The first few days on Epclusa are a little shocking, but I got used to the medicine. I had genotype 3 with a viral load of 3,630,000. Hep C was eating me alive. At week, I was completely undetectable. I'm on the last 3 weeks, and I will say it may be the hardest. Pretty tired and some brain fog. I did get some itchy skin, a little tinnitus. My advice: keep moving, listen to what your body needs, and drink a gallon of water a day. I hear a lot of people say they were good before starting... but yet they were slowly dying from Hep C. Hang in there. You can do it."

For Hepatitis C "Here is an update on my post-Epclusa journey. It's now 8 months after my last pill. I have gained weight, maybe 5-9 lbs, despite making severe dietary changes. No more cookies, junk food, etc. I could see and feel the extra weight form on my hips and thighs. Water weight? Maybe. My thighs and knees ache and hurt beyond normal. At my last doctor appointment, it revealed my thyroid numbers were off. I've taken levothyroxine for years anyway, however, my levels went from under 0.9 to over 7.3 in less than a year. Now more levothyroxine. Hopefully, the thigh/knee pain gets better. I take extra vitamins C and D, collagen powder, and multivitamins and drink good ole skim milk. I also have tinnitus. Probably from all the painkillers I am now on. Would I have even started Epclusa knowing all this? More than likely. Why? Because starting that drug gave me a reason to make the changes in my life I needed to. I haven't done illegal drugs since 2004. But I used to drink like a fool, and my life has changed. What's done is done."

For Hepatitis C "Have been on Epclusa for 1 month. Have had Hep C for 45 years. I have a side effect, which is emotional at times, and ringing in my ears. With insurance, the drug was $3,700 a month. I had to get help from WellCare to cover it."

For Hepatitis C "This is an update from my first post when I was a month into the treatment. I am 63 and have had Hep C for many years. I knew others who had tried Interferon and gave up with the symptoms. I was virus-free after 6 weeks, but of course, continued on and have now been finished for a few days. When I first started, I had ringing in the ears, tingling in the fingers, and fatigued but could not sleep more than 1.5 hours. I don't know how much REM sleep I was getting, but I think that was the biggest contributor to the other symptoms of brain freeze, lack of interest in most things like going to work or being around people, although Covid contributed to that too! I had to work my way through that stuff as I am not depressive. I forced myself to get back into life! Last night I got a full night's rest and feel pretty good. I am hopeful that my liver may recover some as I have cut out carbs, excess sugar, processed fat, and salt to help my liver. I am grateful they came up with this Epclusa."
