Seysara (sarecycline) for Acne "Seysara worked well for my acne! It cleared my acne and I was so happy with the results. However, days after I finished the 3-4 month course of this drug prescribed by my doctor I began breaking out with cystic acne on my chin all over again. I need find a way to keep the acne at bay for good because I can’t afford to pay $60 every month for seysara."

Seysara (sarecycline) for Acne "I was always scared to go on antibiotics because of the random articles on weight gain and gut health risks associated with antibiotics. I have had no side effects and my acne is virtually gone minus a tiny breakout every now and then which is nothing compared to cystic acne. I had suffered with acne since I was 10 and had tried everything with no luck. Accutane worked but came back once I was off of it and left me with lasting side effects. If you are like me and have tried everything, talk to your derm about Seysara before taking the drastic leap of Accutane!"

Seysara (sarecycline) for Acne "Started 100mg Seysara for mild cystic and hormonal acne. Skin started improving after 2 weeks. After 5 weeks I was completely clear. However, at the 6 week mark, I started getting headaches and nausea, so I had to stop."

For Acne "35 year old male here. When I turned about 30 I started getting this unrelenting, scarring acne around my chin and jawline. I tried years of full strength topicals including tretinoin, azelaic acid, benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin and erythromycin. All of those treatments FAILED. Oral antibiotics including Doxycycline; FAILED. I did a high cumulative dose of isotretinoin (220mg / kg) over a year. That treatment helped somewhat, but also ultimately FAILED. Then, I read about Sarecycline and demanded it from my derm. I am now about 6 weeks into treatment and my recalcitrant, painful acne is over 95% cleared. I still get an occasional small whitehead, but no longer wake up every morning with 5-8 boils that need lancing and then bleed. As far as my situation is concerned, this medicine is a damn MIRACLE and I will take it for the rest of my life if need be, no matter the cost."

Seysara (sarecycline) for Acne "I have been taking Seysara for a little over 6 months now. Not for acne but for Hidradenitis suppurativa (hs), though I will say what little acne I had is all gone. It has work amazingly so far. Only medicine that has stopped my flare ups and has allowed me to live a normal life again. However it is not approved for this condition and still in the experimental phases. I am pleased with how well its worked above over medicines I have used in the past. No side effects at all and my doctor has no plans to take me off it as long as it continues to work unless something changes. I do burn easy in the sun though so I have to watch that but otherwise I have no issues. Bad is my insurance doesn't cover the medicine."

Seysara (sarecycline) for Acne "I was prescribed to Seysara back in October 2020 to use for a 6 week period. I took the 100 mg for the first 4 weeks and then took the 150 mg for the remainder of the last two weeks but was told to split the pill in half. The reason I went on this was because of the acne I am getting because of the masks I have been having to wear because of covid!! It made me get really bad rash type of acne around my nose and horrible cystic acne on my chin. Within 1-2 weeks the rash cleared up. I still experience some of the cystic acne in the 3-4 week period but not anything horrible and then it cleared up at the end. I will have to continue with a topical to keep the more normal acne down but I would say this medication worked really well for me!"
