For Performance Anxiety "I've suffered with workplace performance anxiety (specifically blushing) for as long as I remember, talking in front of big groups, interviewing etc. So I started taking Inderal adhoc with great success, no blushing! On Monday I had an interview at 11am so I took 1 at 8:30, 1 at 9:30 and 1 at 10:30. At 1pm I started to get stomach ache and by 2pm I went bent over in agony. I curled up on the sofa waiting for it to subside but the pain was excruciating. At 5pm I called a health line who advised I went to A&E. My breaths were getting shorter, I started to feel nauseous and my stomach felt like I'd been stabbed. I threw up numerous times in the waiting room, they gave me anti-nausea drugs and an IV drip. I started to feel 'normal' again and was sent home. 3 days later and I am still suffering from slight stomach pain, like an uncomfortable bloated pain. I feel too scared to take them again and I'm so sad because they did seem like a miracle drug for the first few months!"

For Performance Anxiety "I take Inderal with Klonopin and other psych. meds. Helps blood with blood pressure but not a great anti-anxiety drug by itself. The only side effect that bothers me is too many nightmares at bedtime and blurry vision."

"I have anxiety issues which are horrible. My psych MD has graciously given me rx's for Xanax, Clonazepam and Elavil. A year or so ago, my primary care MD gave me an RX for Propranolol 40mg 4 times daily for high blood pressure. I recently read all the great reviews for propranolol for performance anxiety; I took two tabs and within half an hour, most of my anxiety (and tremors) were gone and stayed gone for most of the day. I told both MD's about it and my primary care MD gave me a new rx for it. What a blessing this stuff is......only problem is I can't 'finish' during sex, but if that's the price I have to pay, I'll gladly accept it. Propranolol works great for general anxiety!"

For Migraine Prevention "It's helping me a lot, no more headaches. Even my stress and anxiety are numbed. I always wondered what drug people were on who always seemed to remain unnaturally calm and now I know! I think it makes you more fatigue tho and causes nightmares which the anti histamine I'm taking already does so together they cause severe nightmares, but the good effects outweigh the bad effects for me."

For High Blood Pressure "Inderal works well with hardly any side effects. One good side effect is that it stops severe headaches if you happen to have those with your high blood pressure."

For High Blood Pressure "I work nights so I took my 2nd dose of the day at 1am. By the time I saw the doctor at 8am, my blood pressure was 160/110. It doesn't work for me. I get no benefit, and most of the side effects."
