Phentermine for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Adipex late October, now it is in the middle of December. I have lost 20 pounds. The pill literally cut my appetite, and I drank water. No sweets, breads. I really didn’t exercise, but housework, working, and being a full-time Mom and Wife. I guess you can say that’s where it came from. The only side effects I had were dry mouth and insomnia, nothing too bad. Oh, and yes, I could have lost more weight, but I skipped some days taking the pill."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took this medication years ago for weight loss. It became my best friend; I had energy and was able to pass on foods that normally found their way into my mouth. I did experience dry mouth, and this was even with taking copious amounts of water. I went from 303 lbs. down to 245. It did take about a year to lose this weight even with exercising 3 to 4 times a week doing cardio and various exercises. After a year, my doctor removed me from the medicine. I did keep the weight off for a bit but did gain all the weight back. (Divorce, life changes, and COVID did not help since food had always been my comfort.) Fast forward 5 1/2 years, and I went back on the medication again. Weight loss has been slow (maybe due to age and menopause). I have been on it again for 5 months and lost 35 lbs., which is about 7 lbs. a month. I know not huge losses, but it does help suppress the appetite, and I still have dry mouth. I do have more energy but not like the first time taking this medication."

My starting weight was 185, and I am now at 148. I went from a size 14 to almost a size 6!! In the beginning, I had severe dry mouth, but it has now subsided. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was 215 lbs, now 179.5 lbs. My goal weight is 140 lbs. I lost 36 lbs in the 3 months that I took phentermine. I did not feel hungry and had energy. I did have dry mouth and had trouble getting enough sleep. I feel that it is well worth the side effects. I drank plenty of water and would take OTC meds to help with constipation. I also would recommend taking the medication as early as possible so that by the late evening, you can sleep. I have been off phentermine for 3 weeks now and am having trouble losing. I have not gained any weight. My doctor put me on Wellbutrin to continue to help me lose weight. I have less energy, and it really doesn't help much with hunger. I am doing intermittent fasting, and hopefully, I can lose enough until I can get back on the phentermine in 5 months."

Phentermine for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Dec. 15th, 2012, and this has been my lifesaver! I am 5'9. I was 252 lbs when I weighed in. I couldn't believe it. I had never weighed that much. I used to be an athlete growing up, and after 4 kids, my metabolism slowed down to nothing. Within the 1st month, I lost 22 lbs! I had lost 40 lbs by month 3. In total, I have lost 57 lbs in 6 months. I have been allowed to take it continuously, but I personally tapered it off so I wouldn't become dependent on it. I still have a month's worth of pills left over, and I'm still losing! I walk for exercise, but nothing major. Gum helps for dry mouth, and I drink a ton of water and eat off a small salad plate. My goal is 160 lbs. I hope to reach that by August!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far this is absolutely the best aid in losing weight for me. I had lost 75 lbs in 2011 with Weight Watchers but gained about 38 lbs back between 2012 and 2014. I went to the doctor and he put me on phentermine & chromium picolinate. I have been on this since 8/23/14. In 6 wks I have lost 25 lbs. It has significantly decreased my appetite to where I don't even think about eating and have to remind myself to do so. The only side effects I have had are dry mouth, which causes me to drink water constantly (so not a bad thing), mild insomnia the first 2 wks & constipation, for which I just take a supplement. BUT you have to eat right. Reduced carbs for sure. Weight Watchers taught me healthy eating so you do have to change your food."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 30 years old and a mom of four. I just finished my first month of phentermine. I am 5'4" and began at 171 lbs. So far, I have lost 17 pounds. The side effects I feel are dry mouth (I drink water all day), loss of appetite, and a boost of energy. With the dry mouth, I mostly feel it at the back of my throat. Not only is my appetite suppressed, but I don't crave sweets. I was a Pepsi drinker, Pepsi was my water, and I have barely had pop since I started this-maybe five times-and I can't even drink a whole can. I have not changed my diet, which includes lots of carbs. I eat one small meal a day. I do not work out either. I'll post another update after I finish my second month."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started phentermine on Monday, Nov 3rd. My weight was 189.5. As of this morning, Nov 5th, I am down to 185.2. I only take half a pill around 4:40 am. The only side effect I have is dry mouth that turns into nonstop water drinking and, of course, going to pee every 15 min. But other than that, I’m loving it. I am also changing my eating habits - no fast food, nor soda, or caffeine."

Phentermine for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on 8/24/15. As of today, 9/6, I have lost 10 lbs in just under 2 weeks. I only take half a pill, which is just fine for me. I have very little appetite, I force myself to eat. I'm staying under 1200 calories per day, more like 800. My cravings for sweets are gone! This is strange for me because I love sweets. I'm not eating any bread or drinking any soda. Lots of water, fruits, veggies, salads, and protein. I have not exercised yet but plan to soon. I could not sleep the first few days and dry mouth is starting to kick in, it's tolerable. My goal is to lose 60 lbs by the end of the year."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 51-year-old grandma of 6. I started Phentermine 7 weeks ago. I have lost 18 lbs. It started working the first day! I stopped drinking pop, eating garbage foods, etc. I just don't care about that stuff anymore. I believe this is a gift, and want to get everything out of my 3 months that I can. I get on the treadmill every morning for at least an hour, lift light weights for 5 minutes while I walk, drink a lot of water. I look so much different and feel really great! I am nervous when the pills run out. I really love how this is going and am afraid of what will happen when I am on my own again. I drank sodas like crazy and ate nothing but greasy foods, chips, and other junk. My first week on Phentermine, I couldn't eat (which they said was normal but told me to force feed myself) and I drank nothing but gallons of water. I lost 12.5 lbs in just 7 days, Amazing! It is now July 10th, 2013. I am 155 lbs. Just started my 3rd month and already down 32 lbs. It's the best diet pill ever. The only side effect I've had is dry mouth, which is actually a really good thing because it makes you drink tons of water. I have had absolutely NO cravings. It's just plain amazing. I went ahead and started Adipex exactly one week ago, and I am down to 155 lbs. So happy! I have cut out almost all carbs, I only drink water, no sweets at all, just one cup of coffee in the morning. After my daughter goes to school, I go on almost a 2 1/2 to 3-hour walk. Anyways, just thought my experience might help someone out there. Phentermine for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Adipex-P 37.5 mg on July 17, 2010, at 252 lbs. It increased my energy level and suppressed my appetite a great deal. I did experience dry mouth at first but it subsided in a few days. At a weigh-in with my wonderful doctor on August 5, 2010, I lost 11 lbs. My doctor started me with taking the medication for 2 months and then one month off until January 2012, and I now take the medication for 1 month and I'm off of it for 2 months. I am hungrier when I'm off the medication, but I have learned what portion sizes and types of foods to eat and have done pretty well maintaining. You have to have determination and willpower for the rest of your life. By the way, it's now April 7, 2012, and I weigh 148 lbs. I have lost 104 lbs."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 40 years old. I started taking Phentermine 37.5mg 6 weeks ago, and have been doing a 2000 calorie or less diet (because it is hard to eat that much, just not hungry). Just went to the doctor today, I have lost 23 lbs. I did experience a little insomnia the first couple of days but I take the pill at 5:30 am before work and that seems to help. I sweat a lot for most part of the morning and have a lot of energy but dry mouth is definitely a side effect, but it helps with getting you to drink the amount of water you need to be drinking if you are not a water drinker like me. I do have a significant amount of weight to lose so hopefully the weight loss continues at this rate."

I don't seem to have more energy, but it does work. The only side effects I have are dry mouth and a slight headache. Phentermine for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Adipex on Jan 1, 2014, until Feb 1, 2014. I lost 30 pounds even. I did only 30 minutes of cardio a day. That was just brisk walking. My side effects were: cotton mouth, extreme loss of appetite, I lost my ass, I had extreme energy, couldn't sleep, I was very focused, I had a pleasant attitude but quickly became irritated, fast heartbeat, and blurry vision every now and again. My doctor told me that with Adipex, it helps you curb your hunger, but when you work out, it burns double calories. I was 180 and went to 149. When I stopped, the weight never came back, and it became hard for me to eat as much as I used to. I got pregnant and had a baby on Jan 29, 2015. I am 180 pounds as of 2/4/17 and I started Adipex again. Same symptoms, and I'm losing a lot again."
