"Given a prescription for 400 mg/day for 28 days of Norfloxacin by a urologist to treat UTI/prostatitis. I am over 65 years old and was not warned that taking this antibiotic could lead to bad side effects. Bad side effects only became evident after almost completing the 28-day course. While it seems to have cured my UTI/prostatitis, six months after finishing the course I'm still suffering side effects such as tendonitis in shoulder, joint, hip, and back pain. I did not have these problems before taking Norfloxacin and can only hope my body will eventually rid itself of unpleasant Norfloxacin side effects. I advise others to quiz their medical practitioners about using alternative antibiotics before accepting Norfloxacin, particularly if you're over 60 years old or have other medical issues."
