For Nausea/Vomiting "Admitted to the hospital on Monday with nausea and vomiting. By Tuesday, the doctors wanted to send me home but not without eating. So, I was given IV push. Within minutes, I felt restless, needed to run out of my skin, and other all feeling of dread! One of the worst meds. The doctors acted as if they didn't understand what was going on, and the nurse didn't care. I sat in a fetal position all day trying to breathe through the overwhelming restlessness. It is now Tuesday evening, and I still feel restless! Just took Benadryl, and it did not help at all. Would not recommend this med or the hospital I was at. Also, losing faith in nurses and doctors."

Metoclopramide for Nausea/Vomiting "Have been on Reglan over 1 year. With Reglan, I am again able to participate in physical activity without vomiting and nausea afterwards. Last week, the doctor said we still don't know why when I get overheated or stressed, I vomit, get light-sensitive, nausea, etc. Put me on Zofran, blah, feel like rubbish with a constant headache now. What do I do."

Metoclopramide for Nausea/Vomiting "I took this drug to combat hyperemesis. Very severe vomiting and nausea during my second pregnancy. My doctors refused to give me anything to treat hyperemesis during my first pregnancy, and they may have been right. I had such severe nausea and vomiting that I was sick all day, every day, and vomited at minimum 10 times a day. So when I went to the ER and was given IV fluids, Zofran, and a prescription for Reglan, I thought it was a cure. Little did I know the toll it would take on my mental health: racing thoughts. I tried stopping Reglan one month after beginning it and was okay for a few days, but the nausea came back with a vengeance. I started taking it again but just couldn’t shake the feeling of being unwell and depression. So I finally stopped taking it after about 4 months on the medication. It’s only been a few days, but I’m depressed and still not feeling 100 percent. There is no winning. If I don’t eat, I hurt my baby, and if I take this medicine, I have another hurt."

For Migraine "A miracle! 20+ years of intense acute migraine preceded with my eyes going nuts seeing black & photo-something? A year ago, I hit the ER for the “hundredth” time? Maybe more? I thought they used some new narcotic as the pain went from 10/10 to zero! But narcotics mask the pain & even the throbbing was gone! Benadryl, with Reglan, changed my life! I couldn’t believe my head or ears (non-narcotic). I’ve suffered the worst of migraines, so much pain, vomiting, calling out to God! Always & always requiring what I call “post-migraine recovery days”! Now I take Reglan pills x2 10 mg with over-the-counter Benadryl at the onset & they are beaten! I had one try real hard to get me, an hour later, I took another dose & never looked back. Remember Benadryl, and if you suffer from acute migraine, ask your doctor to try out the prescription! I always said one day a migraine would finish me… I had a stroke because of one! I haven’t had any migraines since. I thank God!"

Metoclopramide for Nausea/Vomiting "When I went to Myrtle Beach in July 2021, I had constant vomiting after eating an edible gummy and freaking out. I went to the hospital and continued to vomit and act funny, so the nurses gave me some water, then hooked me to an IV and gave me Reglan. It stopped my vomiting/queasiness, but I had the worst panic attack I ever had in my life. My heart began racing super fast, and my legs and arms and torso became insanely restless, like I needed to run around the world while throwing out my arms repeatedly. I screamed and cried hysterically. I ripped out my IV before I did that and even ripped my shirt. They injected me with Ativan, and I calmed down."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I was admitted to the emergency department for intense vomiting due to general anesthesia drugs. They gave me this medication through an IV and almost instantly, my body went into complete shock. It's a difficult feeling to describe, and I've never felt anything like this before. I was screaming, moving around, feeling a bit dizzy, sick, and it felt like I wanted to rip my skin out. The feeling was insufferable. It was like the feeling of nails against a chalkboard, but in my body. The nurse didn't seem to care and just said, 'You're fine, sometimes people have a reaction to this drug. There's nothing we can do.' I was pacing around, crying out for help and having an anxiety attack. As many other reviews of this drug have said, I felt the extreme urge to rip the IV out of my arm. It all became too much and I felt suicidal thoughts creep in. Eventually, I discharged myself and the only thing that helped calm me down was Valium. Do not take this drug."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I recently started Carboplatin chemotherapy at my local cancer care clinic. I was prescribed Emexlon (metoclopramide) 10 mg to stop nausea (if any). Nobody told me about the side effects I could get from taking them. I woke up at 2 a.m. with severe nausea and vomiting from the chemo. Emexlon was the worst thing I could have taken! Had so much anxiety I couldn’t sleep! Won’t be taking it again, that’s for sure!"

For Migraine "This is terrible. I went to the ER last night for stabbing pain migraine, they gave me Reglan and Benadryl via IV. Immediately, my skin felt cold, then turned super hot and flushed. My mouth got extremely dry, and it felt like my throat was closing. I was gagging. I was extremely restless and irritable. My hands were shaking so bad. The nurses looked at me like I was crazy. I made them take out the saline IV, and I left the hospital. I was given this at 10:30 pm, and it took me 6 hours to finally relax to fall asleep. Never, ever again. I’m adding this to my allergy list. I feel like I was given this through a pill before, though, and this didn’t happen."
