For Emergency Contraception "DON'T STRESS! I’ve had to take this pill more times than I can remember, and it has worked every single time. However, this last time, I did take it around my ovulation day, which most people say it won’t work, but it did for me. I did get side effects such as breast tenderness, nausea, and some mild cramps here and there. I was stressing a bit because I was scared it wouldn’t work because of ovulation, but it does. It made my period come a week early. The pill works. It’s not $50 for nothing."

For Emergency Contraception "The condom broke on Saturday night, and we didn't realize it until much later that night. I was completely freaking out, so I made him go buy me the Plan B pill. I took the pill around 13 hours after sex. I don't think I've ever been that scared in my entire life. (Way too young to have a child.) After taking this pill, I got sharp stomach pains. And 3 hours after I took it, I experienced sore breasts that were so sore that I couldn't ever wear a t-shirt. This pain lasted for 3-4 days. The days went on, and my period tracker (if you don't have one, I suggest you download one) indicated that I was 3 days late for my period. I finally got it, and I've never been so happy! So glad I took this pill. I recommend this pill."

For Emergency Contraception "Please don't judge this post. I'm here to share my experience with Plan B and provide some hope for others in the same situation I was in. I stupidly had unprotected sex more than once in a several-week time span. I took Plan B twice within a few weeks of each other. Up until then, I had pretty normal periods and no major issues. After the second time I took it, I had insane cramps, back aches, sore breasts, you name it. I was convinced I was pregnant, but all tests were negative. I just got my period exactly 8 weeks after my last one. So taking Plan B, especially more than once, really messes up your cycle, and the added stress of thinking you may be pregnant doesn't help either. I'm also well over the 'weight limit,' and it still worked."

For Emergency Contraception "I hate this pill due to all the horrible side effects I experienced. I had unprotected sex with my husband when we got married on May 28th. My period happened the week prior to us having sex. I took the pill a few hours after we had sex. Everything was fine up until two weeks after I consumed the pill. I was feeling sore, tender breasts that I couldn't even wear a bra since it hurt so much, horrible cramps, I was bloated like a cow, I had to take organic teas to help me, horrible headaches, mood swings, dizziness, and nausea. I had no period for the month of June and I started to worry. Today is July 11th and I just started my period! Praise the Lord! Pill works, horrible side effects. Six-week late period."

For Emergency Contraception "I'm another woman who swore that if this pill works, I will share my experience. My bf and I had sex one night, and the condom slipped... He finished inside me, so after an hour of panicking, we went to the nearest pharmacy to get a Plan B One-Step. I took it immediately after I bought it, so it was within 2-3 hours after we had sex. After that, I had very mild side effects, like I sleep a lot and eat a lot... like a lot. I had mild cramps immediately, a little bit of mood swings, negative thoughts, but overall not as bad as some others' experiences. Before I got my period, I felt like I had a mild fever, bigger boobs, breast pain, and all of my acne cleared up very fast. My period came 2 days early, not heavy, just like usual. My doctor said that most of the time the pill does work if you use it right. If you get nervous, your period can be delayed. Good luck everyone, I hope this helps. I understand how nervous you can be."

For Emergency Contraception "I was also here reading about people’s experiences, and I panicked. I took the pill on the day of ovulation, just 6 or 7 hours after the incident. My period was due in two weeks, and I couldn’t stop thinking if it would show up or not. I decided to shift my focus because stressing could only delay my period further. I almost forgot I was worried about it for a couple of days. The only side effects I suffered from the pill were sensitive breasts and nipples. One day before my expected period date, I experienced cramping and a little spotting. Today is the day of the expected period date, and my normal period is here, normal period, red blood with clots! You should also note the difference in your flow. If it’s not your usual color and flow, I suggest you get a pregnancy test or ask your doctor. Otherwise, please do not hesitate to take Plan B while ovulating! Take it ASAP and continue with your life."

For Emergency Contraception "I had sex without protection and he finished inside. I took Plan B the 13th day of my cycle (ovulation day according to my app, my cycle is between 26-28 days). I took the pill less than an hour after sex. Day 1: Cramps and some nausea and tiredness. Day 2: Cramps + clear egg discharge similar to ovulation. Day 3: Less clear egg discharge. Day 4: Hunger and some cramps. Day 5: Hunger and some cramps. Day 6: No symptoms. Day 7: More sensitive breasts. Day 8-10: No new symptoms. Day 11: Pregnancy test - Negative. Day 12-13: No symptoms. Day 14: According to the app, today my period will come (it didn’t), but I felt ALL day so much abdominal pressure and cramps and lower back pain. I took another pregnancy test and it was negative. Day 15: So much cramps and my period finally came (1 day late). Notes: Since I took the pill, I felt bloated, sensitive breasts, nausea, tiredness, abdominal pressure, so much hunger, higher sex drive, and mood swings. I hope this can help someone!"

For Emergency Contraception "I promised that I would share my experience on here if Plan B worked for me! My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on October 23 (about 4 days after my period had ended) and ended up going to buy Plan B about 24 hours later. I am on birth control pills, but I forgot at the time that I had started my new pill pack late. I took Plan B 24 hours after sex and had no side effects at first. About 2 weeks later, I started to feel pretty nauseous, and my breasts were SUPER sore. I also spotted dark brown. I was freaking out because these are both big side effects of pregnancy, but after a very impatient wait, I finally got my period 3 days early :) Don't stress out! Your period will come if you just be patient :) Don't stress yourself out a ton like I did!"

For Emergency Contraception "Do not worry, girls!! I’ve used this website so many times to bring me ease. Plan B works! I had unprotected sex on my ovulation day (alcohol was involved). I was not sure if he finished in me or not, but he told me he didn’t. I wanted to take precautions as I was scared of pre-cum, and I took Plan B (19 hours after). I had super sore breasts and some back pain, I did not have any spotting until 10 days after and a negative pregnancy test. I got my period. Thank you, Plan B!!!! I know it’s scary, but it’ll be okay!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B about 5-6 hours after the incident. My P tracker app showed I was fertile and one day before ovulation. The pill worked as it should have. I felt the side effects within hours of taking the pill - nausea, breast tenderness, headache, cramping, had to go to the bathroom all the time. Panicked for two weeks reading horror stories about it not working. But it did its job. Got my period one day early. Seems slightly heavier than normal."

For Emergency Contraception "For everyone freaking out. Calm your nerves. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and he 100% ejaculated inside me. I started reading online about how it's possible but not likely to get pregnant while on or near your period and freaked myself out. So I went and bought Plan B 52 hours later, to be exact. I too was scared because I thought I might have taken it too late. I got my usual symptoms, but my breasts were really tender. To the point where I thought it didn't work. I was on my way to buy a pregnancy test because my period was 2 days late, and in the past it only delayed it for a day. But BAM! It started. Turned back around and went home, lol. Never been so happy to see it. My advice would be not to stress. And just relax. It will come."

For Emergency Contraception "About a month ago, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. We are only 19 and not ready to be parents, so I did some research and found Plan B as an option. Still, I was scared because it was only our first time... I bought it that same day, and about 5 hours later I took it. I really thought it wasn't going to work, and about a week later I started feeling like crap. I started spotting, I felt bloated along with being gassy, breast tenderness, cramps, headaches, and nausea. I was freaking out when I saw all of those were signs of pregnancy. I was so stressed, but then my period came. So DO NOT STRESS or look up anything to freak you out! It's not worth all of it... let God do His job and you'll be fine."

For Emergency Contraception "I, as other girls, told myself if this works I’ll post my experience. TRUST THIS ECP PILL, GIRLIES, DO NOT STRESS. My bf accidentally came in me 2 DAYS before ovulation. I took the pill 20-30 mins later. I had no side effects for two weeks, but my boobs hurt and were swelling, and I swore on my life my stomach got bigger, I thought I was done for. Yesterday, I started bleeding a lil, I thought it was implantation but hoped since my period is due in 3 days, it’s just my period, but I thought it was implantation. BOOM. Got my period today, big flow, clots, everything. RELAX HONEY, don’t google stuff, it won’t help, trust this pill."

For Emergency Contraception "I promised myself to write one if it worked, especially since reading all the reviews was so comforting. I put my Nuvaring in a week late and had unprotected sex during my fertile window, not knowing it takes a week to start working, so I took a Plan B. Coming up to my period, my breasts were really tender and swollen, and I had a few cramps. It came 5 days late, but it came! It works, just be patient!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I’m here to share my experience since this page helped calm me down. So my boyfriend and I had protected sex on February 12, 3 days before ovulation. After we were done, I noticed the condom had come off in me, and he had already finished in me without realizing. I went to CVS 2 hours later and picked up a Plan B after freaking out. I had no symptoms the day of and the next day, 6 days later, I had light brown spotting for 2 days and I freaked out thinking it was implantation bleeding. I started having sore breasts 1 week after taking the pill and even had hot flashes one day and felt very fatigued for 2 weeks. All I would do is sleep. Then I started spotting brown again the few days before my expected period and had no idea if that was normal. Here I am typing this after waking up with my period, 1 day before my expected period date and 2 and a half weeks after taking the pill. Overall, I got lucky and didn’t have any crazy symptoms. Girls, don’t stress, this works, I promise! Good luck!"

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I had sex about 2 weeks ago, and the condom broke. As teenagers with our whole life ahead of us, we absolutely freaked. We drove to the store, and I took the pill within 20-30 minutes after the mishap. After reading these reviews (much like some of you panicking right now), it really helped me to feel better. A week later, on my usual day, I got my period! I experienced some nausea, headaches, tender breasts, and weird moods, but it didn't help that I was already suffering from a minor cold. I am so happy and thankful for Plan B - it literally saved my life!!! My best advice is to stay as calm as possible - stressing can make the symptoms and waiting worse. Let your guy know you need as much support as possible! Breathe, ladies :)"

For Emergency Contraception "I had my periods on April 14th, 2019, and had unprotected sex on May 3rd, where the condom broke and everything was thrown inside. Was on my fertile days, and that made me be frustrated and scared. 1 hour after unprotected sex, took the Plan B. Finally, my periods came 5 days later on May 19th. Cramping, nausea, fatigue, breast tenderness are common. So don't be scared, it worked perfectly on me during my ovulation time. As soon as you take, much better works. Good luck to everyone."

For Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B emergency pill for the first time and during ovulation period, I got dull cramps, especially on my right side. My appetite got robust, and I also experienced breast tenderness, as well as a bit of dizziness. I panicked reading about how it's not effective during ovulation and how the symptoms can possibly be pregnancy related. Needless to say, I got my period on time with really mild symptoms. It works."

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex who, because we were drunk, unfortunately came inside without a warning. It was nighttime, and I was worried about pregnancy, so as soon as it was daytime, I ran to the pharmacy to get the pill. I must have taken it 6-7 hours after the incident. A couple of days later, I started spotting, which threw me off. I checked my app, and it turns out I was ovulating the day it happened. I was scared but tried to put my trust in the pill. A couple of weeks later, still spotting, this time with breast tenderness and hungry/sleepy ALL THE TIME. I took a pregnancy test and found out I was pregnant. Be careful, ladies!! It’s worked for me many times before, but I guess your luck runs out eventually."

For Emergency Contraception "The first week of being on Plan B, I didn’t really see any side effects. It was the second week when it hit me pretty hard, which is concerning as to why doctors do not say that! I had nausea, crying spells, extremely sore breasts, and headaches. My symptoms still show up more than a month later! The third week, I started to have some spotting and what they call 'withdrawal bleeding,' so I don’t know if that was my period or not? My period did not come on the date that it was supposed to… I was 24 days late. Ladies, you need to remember these things: 1. Stay off of Google and stick to this realistic forum. 2. Realize that you dropped a Hiroshima bomb full of hormones in your body, so it’s going to throw everything out of whack, and every body is different. 3. If you are late, take a pregnancy test for answers."

For Emergency Contraception "Okay ladies, these reviews help me stay sane, so I knew I had to come back and give my review. Straight to the point. Last period 8-15-23. Ovulation date 8-29-23. My partner and I had unprotected, he came in me fully. We’ve been together over 4 years, heat of the moment type of thing, SMH. Seeing that I did not want to be pregnant. Didn’t realize it was the exact day I was ovulating on the dot, fully in most fertile day(s). Got the Plan B pill next day on 8-30-23, 20 hours later. Took the pill & thought nothing of it until a week later when my breasts were so tender, sore, looked like I went up at least a complete bra size. I for sure began to think I must be pregnant, freaking out completely. I felt a little pulling on my uterus, but not really bad cramps, but my breasts were very sore and bigger. Which is a major pregnancy symptom! 13 days later, 9-12-23, got my period 3 days early! No spotting at all on the days leading up. The pill works, please relax & don’t overthink it. And PRAY!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I told myself that if Plan B worked for me, I'd write a review, so here I am. I took Plan B on October 13 after an incident and took one more pill the next day. After that, I'm not sure why I did that, I just thought it would work better, I guess. I had light bleeding a week after for like three days. I got so happy thinking it was my period, but it wasn't, it was just breakthrough bleeding. I have been sick for four weeks after taking this pill, and I was convinced I was pregnant. I have had sore boobs for all those four weeks and have been feeling nauseous every single day. Since it's been four weeks, I was sure I was pregnant. I also felt dizzy at times and very out of it. Today, four weeks after, I started my period. So happy."

For Emergency Contraception "I have been taking Previfem/Sprintec for about 5 years, and my periods are very regular. My husband and I also use condoms. We had a condom break on us recently, and it just so happens that I'd forgotten to take my pill that morning at the normal 12 pm hour. So I took it immediately afterwards (around 8:30 pm), and then took Plan B the following morning, just in case. I was right in the middle of my 28-day cycle and the most fertile, so I was very worried! The side effects I experienced were slim to none. I had some light cramping, and my breasts were sore. I experienced some spotting 11 days later (3 days prior to my normal period start date - which was odd), but my period started as normal."

For Emergency Contraception "After reading several pages of reviews last night, I had a gut feeling I was one of the 5% it didn’t work on, and I knew I had to share my story regardless of the outcome. I took Plan B on July 22nd, within 30 minutes of my boyfriend finishing inside me. My period was due between August 3rd and 7th and never came. No signs of spotting, no bleeding at all since taking the pill. Extremely sore breasts, emotions, weird appetite, and feeling exhausted for 3 weeks. Noticing my period being a week and some days late, I took two tests today, August 12th, and sure enough, I’m pregnant. Both tests were positive. I was ovulating and did not realize at the time, I believe that’s why it was not effective for me. Other than that, I do believe this drug works, but most of these reviews are from women who were wanting to be extra cautious using the pull-out method or a broken condom, not because their partner fully came inside. So keep that in mind if you’re stressed and anxious."
