For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex on Aug 6, 2018. My last period is July 31, 2018. I have a 28-30 day cycle each month. Lasted 6 days, but on the 7th day of my cycle, we had unprotected sex, he used withdrawal. Then, after 5 hours, I took My Way emergency contraceptives, but after a week of taking it, I had very little brown spotting and I feel lower abdominal cramping, and my breasts are sore. I also feel a little bit nauseated and always tired. I still have 2 weeks to wait for my period. My question is, is it normal to have a little bit of brown spotting? Am I pregnant for experiencing these signs and symptoms? Thanks."

For Emergency Contraception "All I can say is relax, ladies! It has over a 95% success rate. I had unprotected sex while I was ovulating and took the pill about 10 hours later. No side effects whatsoever for almost 2 weeks (Mind you, I'm well above the 'weight limit' for the pill). Then, my boobs started hurting so bad I couldn't bear it. I even had some spotting, which freaked me out! It really messes with you, but in the end, I got my period! The longest 3 weeks, but it worked!"

For Emergency Contraception "Ladies, this is a real experience. I had unprotected sex around the time I was ovulating. So, the chances of me getting pregnant were pretty high. I took the pill 24 hours later with my dinner, and I was worried it wouldn't work. At first, I didn't get any symptoms, then a couple of days to a week went by, and I started to experience early pregnancy-like symptoms. Today, I got my period on time, so relax, it works."

For Emergency Contraception "Took My Way 6 hours after having unprotected sex. He actually came inside me with no condom on. My period was 5 days late. No pain before the period came or after taking the pill. Cramps are more intense than usual during the period, but other than that, no side effects. This pill works."

For Emergency Contraception "I took My Way exactly 6 hours after unprotected intercourse. Didn't have sex after that. And yet, I still got pregnant. I've taken it before on a separate occasion over a day after intercourse, and it worked. So, I was completely shocked it failed even after taking it so soon."

For Emergency Contraception "Ladies, calm down!! It will be okay!! I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on February 17. The next day, within the 24-hour period, I got My Way. I had very bad back pains and abdominal pains. That lasted a few days. The next day I took My Way, I had some spotting. I was expecting my period on February 25, but I didn't get it until today! I was so stressed out I even took a test. Ladies, your period may be late. It's normal. Don't worry. You'll be okay!! Such a weight off of my shoulders."

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex two days after my period ended. I took the Plan B within 12 hours. Two days later, I started bleeding lightly, and it lasted 3-4 days. I didn't think this was a normal period, so I still expected to get mine at the normal time. I didn't come. I freaked out. I was one week late and decided to take a pregnancy test. Negative! That same night, I started my period. Maybe the light bleeding was the Plan B working and it reset my cycle because, 28 days after that, I got my period. I'm now on birth control. No kiddos for me, thank you very much. Thanks, Plan B!!"

For Emergency Contraception "My story starts out the same as many, but I was having sex with my boyfriend and somehow the condom slipped off (and actually got stuck inside me, ew) and I'm not on birth control. My boyfriend did not cum inside me, but pre-cum is a real thing and there was no way I was taking any risks, both of us being 18 and definitely not ready for a kid. So we went to the drug store and got the generic brand, and I ended up taking it about two hours after. No dramatic symptoms really, just some headaches, fatigue, bloating, and breaking out. When I took My Way, I was due for my period for another two weeks, and believe me, those were the most nerve-wracking two weeks of my life. But this morning I FINALLY got my long-awaited period and I feel so relieved."

For Emergency Contraception "I normally don’t write on these forums, but I have to share my experience. I had unprotected sex 5 days before my period came, and I took it minutes after the incident. I’m currently 5’4" and 143 lbs. I was nervous because it was my first time taking My Way. Close to my period, I kept getting period symptoms like headache, acne, fuller and tender breasts, etc. 1 day past, 2 days, 3 days. At this point, I was freaking out. I just decided to forget about it and face reality-whatever happens, happens. Guess what? FIVE DAYS LATER AND IT'S FINALLY HERE. Once you follow the instructions, don’t be worried. Even though it’s cheap, it definitely works-no need to freak out. As far as symptoms after the drugs, I didn’t have any."

For Emergency Contraception "I rarely leave reviews, but some woman out there is reading this who is nervous and curious, so here’s my story: I took My Way one day after the “slip up” (not even 48 hrs), however, it was also one day before ovulation for me. I was super nervous reading reviews of other women who said it delayed their cycles, hoping that’ll be my story too. Nope!! It did not work!!! My period never came, and my pregnancy test came back positive!! This was my first time ever taking this generic brand of Plan B, but it was the only one my pharmacy had. I’m not sure if it’s because I was so close to my ovulation date, but it definitely did not work!"

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex and took My Way within an hour afterward. I got my period a whole week early (6 days after taking the pill). Cramps were bad, but they always are. Here it is a month afterward, and I didn’t start my period for this month. I am now 8 days late for my period this month. Not sure if the pill worked for sure. I keep taking pregnancy tests, and they keep saying negative. So I'm just confused at this point. HELP!"

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex twice within a couple of days of each other. I nearly maxed out the recommended 3-day window before I took My Way. Within a couple of weeks, I received what would have been my period, however, it wasn't a full-blown period. I had a heavy flow for 2 days, and it was nearly gone after that. I thought it had worked, but lately, I've been nervously awaiting my next period to come. Still questioning the pill's effectiveness, I decided to go ahead and take a pregnancy test. Turns out I won't be a mother after all! My experience with Plan B and My Way was totally different. Between the two, I had a more nerve-wracking experience this time around. Next time, save yourself the headache and wrap it up. Remember, it is not birth control."

For Emergency Contraception "I have used the My Way emergency pill a few times now after having unprotected sex. This time I used it just as I would have used it in the past, but this time my period was 8 days late. I was afraid to take a pregnancy test, so I looked at some reviews before taking the test. I read that a few women experienced late periods, while others wrote about how the pill had failed to protect them from pregnancy. Well, my new experience is the same as those women whom the pill had failed. I am pregnant after taking the pill only hours after having unprotected sex. Although this pill has worked for me in the past, it has not worked now. Just wanted to share my unbelievable experience. It’s shocking and a lesson learned for real. Condoms are the better option."

For Emergency Contraception "I read reviews after taking this medication, and it made me want to throw it up immediately, but not everyone is the same, and I obviously needed it if I took it...a little less than 24 hours later, and I'm having tightness in my chest and severe abdominal cramping."

For Emergency Contraception "The first couple of weeks were terrible, I was very emotional and had frequent abdominal pains. I was also scared that I could be pregnant, but don't freak out. The contraceptive pill does work, just immediately take it after unprotected sex and you should be okay."

For Emergency Contraception "It works! Just give it time. I took it 10 hours after my 'incident.' I just had my period a week ago and got it again, so you could expect your period to come a little early (or late). But if you're worried... give it time! It works. It saved my life."

For Emergency Contraception "I weigh about 180 pounds, so it's always a hit-or-miss situation with the emergency pill. I've used the generic Plan B (Take Action, I believe was its name) before, and that worked. I've taken My Way before, and it worked, but this time was different. My partner and I were using a condom, but it broke, and he had precummed into me. We slept together a few days before my period was supposed to come. I wasn't worried until the day my period was supposed to come had passed. I was freaking out, of course (even though I wasn't ovulating), but I still had about 12 hours to take the pill. I was ready to beat the clock. I went to the pharmacy and got the pill. Took it with about 11 hours to spare. Six days later, I got my period. It works!"

For Emergency Contraception "Had period July 9-14, unprotected sex on the 25th (supposed to be ovulating). Bought the pill and took it within 3 hours. Didn't notice any symptoms. Anyway, supposed to get my period August 8, but it never came. I was freaking out because I had spotting and pain on my right side. Bf convinced me to be patient and wait. Ten days later, I got my period with the worst cramps ever! Will take a test soon just to be extra sure, but I'm glad this worked when I had my doubts, especially during ovulation."

For Emergency Contraception "I was pretty skeptical about buying this product. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on a Tuesday and again that following Thursday, and his sperm actually went in me. On Tuesday, I took the pill 1 hour after we had sex. I didn't have enough for Plan B, so I had to get this instead. We had unprotected sex again on Thursday (stupid, I know), so I took it again, but this time I took it 9 hours after I was the most fertile on this day. (You're not supposed to take two in the same week.) Let me tell you, I got my period 4 weeks early. This product works. I highly recommend this product!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I took this weighing 145 lbs and 5'6'. Took My Way, not expiring until 2017, within three hours of sex. I read that over 165 lbs it becomes less effective, but apparently 145 lbs is in the less effective range too, I am now 8 weeks pregnant. Beware."

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I had sex on my fertile week, but he did not finish inside me. I took this pill as a precaution 48 hours after that. I'm not pregnant, so that's a good thing. Delayed my period for 3 days, that freaked me out for a bit. Also got intense PMS symptoms - intense back pain and mood swings during the first 2 days of my period. Ovulation was a bit uncomfortable - the first time I could actually feel it. Other than that, it worked well. Will start on birth control so that I don't have to experience the horrible mood swings anymore."

For Emergency Contraception "This is my first time taking any kind of birth control pill. My boyfriend and I had sex on my last day of ovulation, and we weren't sure if he came inside. Thankfully, I found a local online shop that sells them when I Google searched (where I'm from, the pill is not easily accessible). So I bought it and took it about 25 hours after intercourse. I didn't experience much side effects right after taking it apart from a light headache, but as my expected period date came closer, I felt a little more nauseous than usual. I had to wait another week for my period to arrive, and it was the most anxious I've been since the symptoms I felt could've easily been symptoms of pregnancy (even if these were the usual things I felt before my period). Two to three days before my expected period date, I was having brown discharge, and finally, I got my period one day late. Whether or not he even came inside, I'm glad I had the option to take this pill. Everyone is different, but this definitely worked for me."

For Emergency Contraception "So I took My Way after my husband and I had unprotected sex. I did wait one day to take it, but the guidelines state within 36 hours is the most effective. Well, I'm now 5 weeks pregnant. Ugh. I know everything will work out and this baby will be a blessing, but come on! I know we had sex during my peak ovulation period, and so the pill may not have worked because apparently it only is effective if you're ovulating, which is probably something that should be mentioned on the box."

"Ladies, if you're reading this and worried the pill won't work, relax and try not to stress because it does. And thank you to everyone who posted their experiences, reading them helped me not stress. My boyfriend and I had protected sex on Saturday, and the condom broke at some point that I'm not sure of. I took this 6 hours later. I experienced light cramping and then got my period a few days early. I was also fertile when the incident occurred, so I was extra nervous. If you take the pill as soon as possible and before 72 hours, then you will be okay!"
