For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Made me a bit nauseous off and on for the first week, then intense, debilitating stomach cramps and diarrhea on the 8th or 9th day of use. Also did not cure the yeast infection. At first, it seemed like it was working, then symptoms came back worse than before."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have Lyme disease, so I got a yeast infection from antibiotic usage. My yeast infection is nothing like you will find. Basically, it just feels like rug burn on the head of my penis. Unfortunately, it rubs in my underwear when I walk around, so it's VERY ANNOYING. I was given Diflucan, and it gave me head pressure, so they gave me Ketoconazole, and it's my second/third day on it. I have NOT seen any substantial improvements. Yes, it's helped, but this should work faster."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This drug was one of the only oral antifungals I wasn’t allergic to and worked amazingly well to clear all yeast infections within the ten-day treatment on the lowest dose. Very disappointed that it was removed from use in Australia because some people on long-term use of it got serious side effects. You’d think they’d just restrict all long-term use rather than remove a very good treatment tablet. Now I have nothing to take or apply that I’m not allergic to or have extreme side effects with."

Nizoral (ketoconazole) for Tinea Versicolor "I have a severe case of tinea versicolor, and I have tried several over-the-counter remedies as well as a couple of prescriptions. I read the other comments on here, was hopeful based on their experience, so I asked my doctor for it! WORST IDEA EVER!!!! I was also on a few other medications at the same time for ADD and depression/anxiety. The Nizoral had a completely unexpected interaction and caused me to go crazy. No, really-I mean hallucinating, talking to inanimate objects, thinking my car and trees and such things were alive... absolutely out-of-my-mind nuts. It was terrifying. PLEASE!!-if you are going to try Nizoral and you're on any other medication, I beg you to stay in close and honest communication with your doctor. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!"

"I only started this medication 6 hours ago from writing this, and my ears are clearing up, my neck is less stiff, but the bladder is still a bit irritated, so it might take a bit longer for my bladder irritation. 3 years ago, I started suffering pain, jaw problems, neck, bladder, bowel, throat, tonsils removed, MRI on jaw clicking. I do have H. pylori, dry skin, depression, anxiety, intestine problems, and just all-out hell. To find out it is possibly a fungal infection is WOW. WHY DON'T DOCTORS TEST FOR THIS MORE? Meds: Oxycodone, Methadone, Para/Codeine, Valium, Xanax, and the list goes on. Overall this has helped me in 6 hours more than what has in 3 years. Post back in 2 weeks to let you know how it went."

For Tinea Versicolor "This cream really works! My Dr had prescribed both Nystop powder and cream, which didn't help. I also tried apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil and antifungal soap. The ketoconazole was the only thing that cleared up my rash. I had no adverse side effects."

For Dermatophytosis "I started using treatments for a skin rash that suddenly started appearing on my body. After using a box which is equal to 10 tablets, I realized the rashes were disappearing, so I stopped using it. Several days or weeks later, the rashes had started coming again. Now I started taking it, and I'm having pretty bad side effects, but I can see it's working. However, side effects on my liver and a little swelling of my tongue too. Should I stop using it and start using it in its correct way-that's one tablet (200 mg) a day for 6 months?"

"Had such high cortisol that docs thought I had a tumor (Cushing's Disease), but the MRI didn't turn one up so they diagnosed me with pseudo-Cushing's, a wastebasket term for inexplicably high cortisol. Pseudo-C wrecked my whole body: insomnia, testosterone below 300, zero sex drive, low immunity, gut issues, muscle wasting, low metabolism, visceral fat, physical anxiety (anxiety that comes from your body, not your mind), hypertension (I'm a scrawny vegan! WTF), sickest I've ever been. Ketoconazole smashed the cortisol, so much so that I ended up with LOW cortisol and had such bad nausea that I had to stop. It did work, but it replaced the old problems with new ones: erection issues , new insomnia, nausea nausea nausea, no appetite (had to force myself to eat, and only wanted yogurt), constipation, lethargy. Most of those are low cortisol, but the erection problems, even lower testosterone, and nausea are all ketoconazole. It worked, but at a high price:"

For Oral Thrush "Avoid!! Needed for a really bad oral thrush infection from antibiotics and ended up gastritis and liver problems! I am a health 27 year old female and have never had anything wrong with my liver, ever! I immediately stopped using once I started to endure side effects after 5 days of 2x daily. Please use other methods. I have never been in such pain in my life and had to go to urgent care!!"

"You have to be careful taking this medicine! And don't take it for a long. I took this as hormone balancing treatment. I am mid-thirty's female and I had really high cortisol due to chronic stress, which caused cushings like symptomps. I had buffalo hump fat. Belly fat. Striations /stretch marks on my belly, thighs and love handles while having skinny arms and legs. I started to grow masculine hair on my face and body. Acne on my lower face. But the worst part was the horrible morning anxiety ( when cortisol peaks upon waking). My body was buzzing with anxiety and I had an anxiety "pit" in my stomach. I was not able to think straight, I was so wired with cortisol. Cortisol was destroying my body. I even started losing my hair on my head. So for 2 weeks ONLY I took 200mg Ketokonazole before bed. This was in combinaton with Levothyroxine/Thyronorm 12mcg in the morning to balance lower thyroid. Buplerum liver cleanse to counteract. I was miraculously anxiety free. It was great"

For Oral Thrush "Do not take! I am a healthy 27 year old female that had a bad case of oral thrush due to an antibiotic and instantly started experiencing side pain. I waited five days before experiencing pain excruciating enough to make me chose childbirth over this pain. I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with gastritis because of this medication and it messed my liver up! Do not take!! There are better options!!!"

For Tinea Corporis "Well I was in Mexico and decided to go to a urologist to check if everything is ok with my balls and penis since I recently got a girlfriend and we have sex. Everything was ok but the doctor noticed some fungus on my penis so he prescribed me with some creme and these pills for medication for 3 weeks straight. Well I took them for 3 days then decided to go on google and found out a lot of negativity regarding these mediciations. I do not want to mess up my liver. I read a lot of side effects that could damage the liver. So I decided to stop using these pills."

For Coccidioidomycosis "I have been using ketoconazole shampoo for 3 mos., scalp lesions are now dried up... I had been active since Nov. 2019 and through Oct. 2020. It works really well, except that its very drying; used coconut oil with essential oils for that (cocci. doesn't react), and they simply moved south, from inside the scalp to other parts of the body. Now, I am dealing with them in ears, sinus, neck lesion, one battle at a time, but my scalp which is very visible (due to much hair loss), is a positive. I recommend it."

For Tinea Versicolor "Studies support two doses of oral Nizoral eliminated tinea versicolor if > 90% of patients. Some doctors will use one dose daily for however many days but it can be rough on liver enzymes (and the liver) It will come back many times annually during humid conditions. Repeating the same regimen usually takes care of it again within days"
