Vfend (voriconazole) for Systemic Fungal Infection "I have been prescribed this medicine for three months now. it is the only thing to really slow down my systemic Candidiasis. The hand rashes and tissue in the urine and fatigue is better on this medicine however it just will not kick it out of my heart and my brain for good. I do see the yellow and green tint colors when I get a good batch of it (I recommend paying more for Pfizer) but it is worth it for the benefits. These vision changes and the ward off of the fungus wear off after a couple hours. Of all the azoles I have tried this has been the best one. Watch your heart liver kidney and eyes"

Vfend (voriconazole) for Candidemia "I were prescribed Pfizer VFend by my Dr for a period of 60 days. I was told that there is no generic available for VFend. Medical Aid only paid for 30 day treatment. Medicine is excellent but totally too expensive at a cost of R34 000 (rand) per month."

"I was prescribed Voriconazole (400 mg daily) for a fungus infection in my lung (exophiala dermatitidis) after being taken off Itraconazole which caused hives. Voriconazole side effects at first were light sensitivity and brain pressure that caused moments of foggy thinking. It became a safety issue so I stopped driving on the freeway. One month after starting it, I broke out in a severe skin rash. My dermatologist identified it as an allergic reaction to Voriconazole. The topical steroid ointments prescribed to treat the rash have had little effect. I stopped the medication but the rash is still raging after two weeks and the above-mentioned side effects continue."

For Fungal Pneumonia "I had exophelia cancera fungal pneumonia in 2018. Voriconazole is the only drug that would touch the infection. Other than the associated eye symptoms while taking the drug, the side effects were mild. I am still alive today (exophelia cancera a is extremely rare and has a 80% mortality rate) due to this drug and a doctor that knew what he was dealing with."
