Icosapent "I am taking 2-1 gm Vascepa and 2-90 mg Brilinta together after having stents put in two of the arteries coming off my LAD. I started out with just one 1 gm Vascepa per day and then graduated to 2 on the advice of my pharmacist. I have irritable bowel, and with taking 2 Vascepa now, it seems to be aggravating this condition."

Icosapent "Have aortic stenosis and a 138 score triglycerides before taking Vascepa. I took Vascepa to lower my score under 100. LOLOL in 6 months my score was '198'. Sought out other reviews. After reading these reviews, I feel Vascepa will not help me meet any beneficial goals."

Icosapent "Started several months ago. Stopped due to muscle aches and pains. Got better within 2 days, normal after 4 days. I got anxious about not taking it after weeks, so I started again. Aches and pains the next day, so I quit again. Still had some aches and pains, so I stopped some other meds. My pains went away almost completely. I’ve started back on Vascepa and have no aches or pains. I guess interaction with other meds was a problem. If a person is taking several meds, and all of them have a common side effect, it’s bound to happen."

Icosapent "You want to avoid taking this medication if you drink alcohol, which I do daily. I was experiencing shortness of breath very badly, to the point where I was ready to go to the hospital. My fault, but my doctor should’ve informed me of such things since he knew I was a drinker. I stopped taking the medication."

Icosapent "Not only does Vascepa lower my triglycerides, it works better than any antidepressant on the market. Maybe it's my body chemistry, but about 3-4 weeks after taking the medication, my mood has vastly improved and has remained positive for the last three years. Love it. It's not cheap ($60 for a 90-day supply with my insurance), but it's well worth it!"

Icosapent "After having to do some back and forth with my insurance company, they finally approved Vascepa because I couldn't afford it otherwise. I've been taking just 2 pills once a day for about 6-7 weeks. I had blood work done in July and then again a couple weeks ago, and my triglycerides have dropped from 245 to 179. I don't remember the last time my number was that low. I don't have any other side effects, good or bad, but I'm glad my numbers are dropping. This may help me get off 2 other meds I'm on."

Icosapent "I'm taking Vascepa to lower levels of triglycerides, 2 milligrams a day. After a few days, I developed a small rash on my face and also swelling under my big toes. I called the cardiologist, he said it's not gout, but recommended I stop taking it and consult with my primary doctor. So now I have a six-month supply that I paid $308 for, and it might be useless to me. Mind you, that's with insurance, without insurance, $1,174 is not cheap. As you can imagine, I'm not happy about the situation."

"Used icosapent for 5 years. Had to supplement it with fenofibrate. Was paying $30 with insurance, price doubled to $60. Went to pick it up today, and it jumped to $160. Left it at the pharmacy. I'm on a fixed income. Food, rent, and fuel first, can no longer support big pharma. Wonder how long I will last. Thanks, Brandon."

Icosapent "I've been on Vascepa for a year, no side effects, no aches and pains, mind is clearer. The only thing I don't like is the size of the pill."
