For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Be patient, it does take a few days for the symptoms to clear, but after about 4 days, you should see improvement. There is a topical cream your doctor can provide that helps with burning and itching. To ease pain, soak in cool water frequently... But it may take up to 7 days to clear."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, I was hesitant to try this because all the bad reviews and plus I be having anxiety and panic attacks. But! I felt better just a few hours after taking this pill. GIRL! Would you rather feel a little off by the side effects orrrrrr deal with the NASTY ITCHING, BURNING AND COMPLETE DISCOMFORT OF YOUR PRECIOUS YONI? Right, take the pill (1 day) and you’ll be okay. I am happy with my results, but hey it differs from woman to woman so just take a full day of making a decision and follow your heart cause trust me, I did so much investigation and took the leap of faith and results are good."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "It is unbelievable how wonderful this medicine is for yeast infections! I went to the doctor for a urinary tract infection and also had symptoms of redness, burning, itching, and swelling. It was the worst ever! Took 1 pill and already noticed results in just a few hours! It is a miracle."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So this is probably very TMI, but here goes. I’ve been taking Diflucan for about 3 years now. I have recurrent yeast infections due to being immunocompromised. Last year, I had 9 infections. I am allergic to all over-the-counter yeast medicines. My labia minora is always inside my body, the over-the-counter medication causes my labia to come outside of my body and swell to the size of bigger than a golf ball. This medication saves me so much. When I take it, it’s like magic. I notice improvement within an hour. It usually only takes a day, and it’s gone completely. Before I knew of its existence, I would use apple cider vinegar. Don’t do that. It burns bad. It killed the yeast but started giving me BV. So thankful for this medication."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This worked great for me. Before taking the pill, I was itching and burning and had discharge. I was so embarrassed because I had never had one before. I also started to develop ulcers in my mouth, so the infection actually reached my mouth since it went untreated for 3 weeks. I was prescribed Diflucan. I took it on Friday, by Sunday, I started to feel better. On Sunday, I took the second pill. It is now Tuesday and my tongue ulcers are healing, my tonsils have gone down. The itching and burning stopped, but the irritation is still there whenever I wash my vagina with soap or wear certain panties."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, was prescribed this for a vaginal yeast infection from antibiotics. Had to take 150 mg 1st day, then another 3 days later. After 30 mins of taking it, dizziness, nausea, headache hit me. An hour later, whole body started to itch, eyes, nose, ears, tongue, throat, extreme itching and burning, itching & prickling in the anus, can't sit or lie down. Dunno if it is an allergic reaction. Next day, bad stomach & tummy cramps, bloating, gas, sweating, a bit of diarrhea, fatigue, mood swings, dp feelings, loss of appetite, cough, chest pain, flu symptoms, throat is tingling and can't eat a damn thing without choking. Literally dunno what to do. My vag is now in co-ma. Discharge went away, the itching and irritation are still there, & I'm in a lot of pain, the yeast infection is still there. Will not take the 2nd pill. Had I known the side effects, I would have flushed this pill in the toilet. I could have just cured the yeast infection naturally with a diet, probiotics, or old-fashioned Monistat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a vaginal yeast infection for three days until I finally made up my mind to head to the clinic. I was diagnosed with a vaginal yeast infection and was prescribed 150 mg of fluconazole (Diflucan). An hour after taking the pill, my symptoms ceased to a minimum. However, the itchiness and burning sensation still lasted for around two days before it finally resolved."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was prescribed this after finishing the 7-day Monistat and still had symptoms of itching, dry skin, red coloration of the skin, and mild burning. I think it was a combination of the Monistat drying the skin of my labia majora and still having a yeast infection. I took the pill for fluconazole and didn't really notice big changes until day 2. By day 2, I started having a lot of white thick discharge, and itching went down. Redness didn't start fading until the 3rd day. To keep myself from wanting to itch and moisturize my dry skin, I did use cortisone cream on my labia majora. I'm still on day 3 and still notice my labia minora is sensitive to touch. What I suggest when taking the pill is to drink plenty of water, change your underwear often, or don't wear any at all. Let your vagina breathe! Yeast love warm, moist environments, so not having any fabric covering it will help a lot."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Whenever I have a urinary tract infection, a yeast infection is sure to follow, and this time, instead of buying the 3-day treatment of Canesten that you insert inside (which has always worked well the first day), I tried the one pill. No side effects. However, my vagina is still itchy, burning, and rubbing it no longer provides any relief anymore. Going back to the doctor, hoping for something stronger."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm not entirely sure why I am having such a hard time clearing up my yeast infection this time. This is now my 4th pill (after taking 3 of the 150 mg over the course of 3 weeks). I typically don't suffer from burning, itching, rashes...but the cottage cheese discharge is terrible. I took my 4th dose last night, it was 100 mg, and was expecting to not have any discharge this morning. Welp...still see it. It's not as much, but mid-day, wiped...still cottage cheese discharge. I am comforted by the ladies here saying it does take a few days. Just wondering why I've had to take so many this time and still not cured."

Fluconazole for Candida Urinary Tract Infection "Okay, umm... I was diagnosed with candida in 2014 and was given different antifungals, which seemed to work for the meantime. Then, in 2015, I had a reinfection, symptoms were similar to the last one. So, Diflucan was recommended: 150 mg single dose and ketoconazole cream. On taking the single dose of Diflucan, I got a lot better after 3 hours, it was such a relief. The itching, burning, and inflammation stopped. This is 2020, and I am currently on another dose, and it's working perfectly... I recommend this drug 100%."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After a round of antibiotics to clear up a UTI, I developed a severe yeast infection with itching, burning, and discharge. Called the doctor, and he prescribed the generic of Diflucan. Took one dose, and symptoms cleared completely in 24 hours. Took the second dose 3 days later and now symptom-free!!!! I do not post reviews often, but I needed to give back to someone who may be suffering like I was. These reviews provide relief when things feel like they can't get any worse. And this magic pill proved that things will get better with time."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Unfortunately, fluconazole was not a great experience for me. And still suffering from the side effects. Do not ignore chills, burning sensations, and skin irritation. I did 2 rounds of fluconazole 72 hours apart. First round, I had a hive on my upper lip for a day, and lady parts were red and irritated. Went back to the doctor, prescribed a second round, which gave a burning sensation to the anus, labia, vulva... have been on fire ever since. Could hardly sit down. 5 days of prednisone to help, now Reactine once daily. Still have burning on the back of legs and butt... it has been almost a month. Pharmacist says it’s just going to take time... ugh. Wish there was something else that would help to get this out of my system as it has been a brutal experience."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had 3 back-to-back yeast infections. The first one I treated myself with a 7-day cream. The second one my doctor saw during my annual pap. I told her I thought I had one, and she said she thought I was correct. She tested me for other infections, but it was, in fact, yeast. So she prescribed Diflucan and gave me 2 pills. I took one that day and one 3 days later. I started noticing an improvement within 24 hours. Let me say that the burning and itching from the yeast infections were SO SEVERE. I even questioned my 10-year partner about his fidelity because I wondered if I had somehow contracted an STI. (Not to his face) I'm not proud of that. It wasn't long, about a month later, and I got ANOTHER yeast infection, and this one, the burning was even worse. I emailed my doctor, and she sent a prescription to the pharmacy. The Diflucan worked the same, started working in about 24 hours."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had sex Friday night, went to work and used the bathroom, and wiped with cheap tissue. When I got home, I started itching and burning. It was so bad and unbearable. Good thing I had an appointment yesterday for a BP check-up. While I was there, I told my doctor my symptoms, and she prescribed me fluconazole. I took it yesterday around 7, and today around 7, I notice it's starting to work. I'm not itching or burning, plus it's pushing all the infection out. Every time I go pee, mount and mounts of discharge are coming out, plus I have to keep a pantyliner on because it makes you leak. That 150 mg did the trick for me. All I'm drinking is water and cranberry juice to help clean me out. Every med doesn't do the same for everyone, but it's fine for me. Hopefully, I don't experience this again!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I went to the clinic on Monday to get an STD check because I was having discharge. They diagnosed me with a yeast infection. They prescribed me the one-time pill, and I took it. Tuesday, it started itching and creamy discharge and a burning sensation (very uncomfortable). Now it's Wednesday, and it seems to have gotten no better, if anything worse, because when I went to the clinic, I wasn't having any of the symptoms I'm having now. It sucks and is very discomforting, especially when I'm at work. I called my doctor's office to see if they can give me something else and figure out what's really going on. Ugh! I just want my vagina back to normal."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took Diflucan for a yeast infection on a Friday around 8 PM, at about 10 PM, my lips started to tingle. I went to bed and woke up at 2 am to find my lips severely swollen with a rash around them. Today is Monday, and my lips are burning, dry, and still swollen. I am now getting sores inside of my mouth from the Diflucan. My yeast infection has cleared up, but the pain I am feeling now is horrific. I will NEVER take this pill again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a severe bladder infection and a yeast infection at the same time. It was so bad I couldn’t walk, the burning and the pain were unbearable. The doctor prescribed me antibiotics for the UTI and I took Monistat for the yeast infection, but the swelling was so bad I couldn’t even sit. Finally, I called my doctor in bed for Diflucan, and within one hour of taking it, everything started to settle down."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was told by the doctor I had a yeast infection, so they prescribed me the one dose Diflucan and the cream. I took the Diflucan almost 48 hours ago, and symptoms got worse - intense and unbearable stabbing pain in my vay jay whenever I walk, laugh, and go to urinate, and it’s gotten to the point where I’ve had to call in sick for work as I can’t move around properly! I heard that the pain means your infection is leaving the body, so I’m giving it a few more days, and in the meantime, I’m too scared to use the gel as I heard from too many people it causes burning, and I just can’t live with any more pain!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Before I took the medication, my vagina wasn't burning. Within 20 minutes, I could feel my vagina burning, then it stopped. Then the burning would start up again. It happened like maybe 3 times. A few hours after taking this drug, my body felt like it was on fire. Suddenly, I felt nauseated and wanted to throw up, but I didn't. The next morning, I felt so relieved and itch-free. No burning either. I am currently on Day 5, and I took 150 mg with one pill. It seems to be working, but will confirm after seeing OB/GYN."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m now on day three of my yeast infection. On day two, I avoided OTC products and visited a doctor. I was prescribed two doses of fluconazole. The first to be taken immediately; the second, three days later. It took roughly 24 hours to kick in. I did notice the medication made it worse before getting better. I’m happy to report on this third day … the itching, burning, and inflammation have lessened drastically. I’m hoping the second dose knocks it out completely. Additional tips that seem to be helping my recovery process: Tylenol, drinking lots of water, urinating frequently, cleaning the infected area with water after urinating (literally pouring from a water bottle over the toilet), drying the infected area (this is keeping my vagina dry and aids the yeast in not spreading), and not consuming yeast products. I hope this helps!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been battling chronic vaginal Candida symptoms now for 9 years (pain and burning in the vagina). Over the last few years, I have also developed esophageal Candida and toenail fungus (as well as thrush in the vagina). To cut a long story short, after many specialists and doctors claiming I don't have Candida, I started on a course of Fluconazole 200 mg a day, but it kept flaring back up. I have now increased the dosage to 400 mg a day, and it's working. After many years of dealing with this problem, I have concluded that Fluconazole is fairly ineffective or is not prescribed at a high enough dose or for long enough. With the use of antibiotics, I also believe it's essential that gut health be restored with probiotics, otherwise, recurrent Candida will keep recurring, thus treating the symptoms and not the cause."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had the itching symptom bad, rarely any burning, so I went to the OBGYN the next day because I was always itching in my sleep. The doctor checked and said it's just yeast. A big relief because a week before, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex, so I was scared. I took one pill and now the yeast is just leaking out in a clumpy formation. I hope it is gone soon."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had an ongoing vaginal yeast infection for about 6 weeks. I tried 7-day Monistat, and it provided a few days of relief, and then it was right back and even worse. So I did another 7-day round, and by day 3, it was burning so bad to use it, so I just stopped. I gave in and went to the doctor, and he prescribed Diflucan, one dose, and I took that, had no relief until the third night. Felt totally normal for almost 48 hours, and then the symptoms came right back and are even worse now. Hoping that, even though it's my 5th day into treatment, it will be gone by day 7. Maybe I will just need another dose, but as of right now, I'm not happy with Diflucan."
