Exemestane for Breast Cancer "I have been on Aromasin for 2 years now. Prior I took Tamoxifen. Sure, there are side effects (pain in my leg, painful joints, and hot flashes) but I had stage 3 CA and am still alive 4.5 years."

For Breast Cancer "I have been on exemestane for four years and six to go. I am at extremely high risk without it, but it has taken away so much of my life. I had to almost stop working due to the muscle swelling and cramps. I was a massage therapist, so work is almost impossible. My bones are thinning, so I will be taking infusions to help. I’m nauseous every day and very fatigued. My depression and anxiety are worse than ever. I get hot flashes doing anything, and my skin turns red all over my body. I sweat profusely. I feel helpless and hopeless. I hate being a burden to others, but there is nothing I can do if I stay on it. I used to be active and healthy. I am 53. I am happy to be alive, but I’m not sure if the cost is worth it. I don’t feel like I’m living, I just try to get through the day."
