For Birth Control "This is one of the worst birth control pills on the market. I had increased anxiety so bad I did not sleep for 3-4 days. I felt bloated all the time and gained weight even though my eating and working out patterns did not change. I had bad breakouts, which never usually happen to me. It also messed with my contacts and vision. One of the worst experiences I've had on the pill, please do not take this."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Went on this pill for frequent menstrual bleeding and acne and absolutely did not like it. For the first 30 days straight, had nonstop bleeding with black clots. Cramps got worse, as well as lower back pain. I was also painfully nauseous all the time and completely lost my appetite. I couldn’t eat more than a small meal at a time without completely being full and nauseous. I was told the acne would get worse before it got better, but it only got worse and then mildly improved. I can say that it did help get my cycle to only bleeding once a month instead of twice a month, but it’s not worth it with all of the side effects. Mentally, my mental health and anxiety got worse at first, but it leveled off and was fine after about a month. Overall, would not recommend it as the nausea is so bad and just constantly persistent."

For Ovarian Cysts "I don’t recommend this birth control at all for a number of reasons. It caused my skin to break out on my chin and forehead within the first week of taking it, and it never got better. I then started having anxiety attacks and mood swings that would make me super sensitive and cry for no reason, which caused me problems at work and within my personal relationships. It also made me nauseous and bloated, which wasn’t fun either. I thought that maybe it was just all in my head until I went to a different OBGYN today, and she explained to me that she doesn’t like to prescribe people this birth control because of how it works. It gives you a different dosage amount of hormone each week, which explains the acne and mood swings. You can avoid a few months/years of suffering by steering clear of this pill."

For Birth Control "I would NEVER recommend taking this pill. I started this pill in October and was fine for the first two months. The end of December through January (and it is now February 4) I have had the worst anxiety and depression. I was never anxious or depressed before this medication. I have never experienced anxiety aside from nervousness due to school stressors (normal). I now anticipate going to bed early every night to avoid feeling this way. I have also experienced headaches, nausea at night, dizziness, and a fast heart rate as well. I just threw this medication into my garbage pail this morning because of how horrible it is making me feel. Everyone reacts differently to medication, but Tri-Lo-Marzia Birth Control has made me stop taking birth control for good - I am honestly traumatized."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for almost 2 years. I have been suffering from anxiety and heart palpitations, depression, and sleep issues during this time of taking this birth control. I thought it was due to stress, but now, after reading these reviews and seeing that my symptoms are the same, I believe that my anxiety and heart palpitations are coming from this birth control. I will be getting off to see if I start feeling more normal again."

For Birth Control "I had the worst experience. I couldn’t sleep, I had major headaches, and I had hair loss! My hair came out in clumps, it has helped my acne but is not worth everything else I’ve gone through. I have endometriosis, and this doesn’t help it whatsoever, my periods are still so heavy and brutal. This pill has made me feel so anxious and irritable all the time. I will be getting off of it immediately."

For Endometriosis "I have what’s called subcutaneous endometriosis. Basically, my endometriosis was caused by my c-sections. I was bleeding and bruising under my skin. Long story short, I had abdominal surgery to remove any cells that were up under my skin and Dr. removed the c-section “flap,” as I so lovingly called it. I had a good 2 years, endo grew back. Now trying the birth control option. This is my 4th month on this particular brand. My first 2 months were fantastic, and I slacked on the pill taking the 3rd month and had the worst, excruciating pains. The doctor told me to stick with it, so far, as long as I take the pills like I’m supposed to, all is great! My doc prescribed me Strattera for my ADD, and it has helped with anxiety and depression as well!"

For Acne "I'm 21 and have been on it since I was 15. I got on it to regulate my 2-month-long periods and acne (I have PCOS). It helped regulate my periods this whole time until a couple of months ago. I'm going on day 50 of my period. And my acne never completely went away, but it definitely decreased drastically. As far as weight gain, none, I've been underweight most of the time, and I am naturally a thicker girl. But for mood? I went on it at the peak of my moody teenager years, but I can say, like some of the other reviews, I get fits of crying, anxiety, etc. I always feel emotional or numb inside, and I'm unsure if it's from Tri-Lo-Marzia. It feels like really bad PMDD, although I'm good at hiding it so no one else knows. I liked it until now, but I'm curious if my mood will change if I get off of it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been on Tri-Lo-Marzia for 3 months for painful periods. The first month was terrible. Constant spotting, terrible mood swings, breast tenderness, anxiety, and bad acne. The second month, all side effects decreased except the acne. My acne worsened with this pill. It is pretty bad currently, but since this pill has shortened and lightened my previously painful periods, I have decided to cope with the acne. It has greatly improved the pain with my periods."

For Birth Control "Do not take this birth control. This was my first time ever taking birth control. A week after taking it, I had my first panic attack ever in my life. After my first one, I had 3 since then. Usually, after the attacks, I’ll feel normal the next day. But after my most recent one, I’ve been on edge and haven’t felt myself ever since. I’ve never had problems like this before, and it started around the time I began taking this birth control. I stopped taking them... hopefully, it leaves my system soon."

For Birth Control "I had been on this Tri-Lo-Marzia brand for about 3 months and a half and have decided to stop it entirely and not try any other combination pill. Originally, I was on another brand with a higher dose and had horrible physical and mental side effects that I noticed within a month or so. I switched to Tri-Lo-Marzia as it was a lower dosage of hormones and noticed within the first two months my skin cleared and boobs got bigger. It was not until the third month of taking it that I had a personal issue come up and assumed my anxiety was because of that, but it just got worse for the next four weeks. My last week on the pill has been the darkest place I’ve ever been. I experienced bad anxiety, panic attacks, and creeping symptoms of depression, which I have never had before the pill. Again, everyone’s body will react differently, but I have had such a negative experience with the pill on my mental health and do NOT feel like myself at all. I’m hoping it will leave my system quickly."

For Ovarian Cysts "I was put on Tri-Lo-Marzia for chronic PCOS when I was about 14. I wish I had been more educated because this medicine made me develop an anxiety disorder. No anxiety medicine worked for me while on this pill, which resulted in chronic insomnia for years. I later developed endometriosis and said 'enough is enough' and got an IUD implant and kicked the pills, which has been working so much better for my mental health and pain."

For Birth Control "When I first started taking it, I was fine. I had small breakouts here and there, but after about 4 weeks went by, I started feeling really depressed. I cried over the littlest things. I kept overthinking and worrying about things. Honestly, my mood went from happy to really sad in the matter of minutes. I will not be taking this anymore. I strongly do not recommend this pill, but it might be different for you if you take it because everyone is different. It made me really depressed and just stressed out, and I’m still feeling depressed as of now. I just don’t know what to do about it or even tell people about it. TBH, this is my first time talking about it."

For Birth Control "If you want a pill that ruins your life, then take this pill. This pill might be labeled as birth control, but it should also be known as the pill to give you the worst anxiety and depression you could ever experience. I am a happy, successful person who is mentally tough and can get up when knocked down, but not with this pill. This pill is a nightmare when on it and makes you feel like escaping your life (suicidal thoughts). I have never been suicidal in my life until this pill. I felt like I was going crazy and did not feel like myself. I sometimes would feel like myself, and then I would feel like I was going crazy. I went on it to get my periods back and help clear my skin, which it got my period back and sort of cleared acne (only on it for a month). I would rather have the worst acne ever for the rest of my life than be on this pill. This pill makes you paranoid about everything and made me sometimes feel depersonalization. I do not recommend! Save yourself by not taking it! 0 stars"

For Birth Control "Let me start off by saying that everyone reacts to birth control differently. Just because I had a negative experience does not mean you will too. Anyway, my pharmacist randomly switched me to Tri-Lo-Marzia one day after I had been on Tri-Lo-Sprintec for about a year (and was loving it!). Tri-Lo-Marzia is quite honestly the worst birth control I have ever been on. I hardly recognize myself on it. I just finished my first pack, but I have been experiencing the most severe brain fog, anxiety, and depression. I have to force myself to go out and do things, and I have a hard time concentrating when I do. My heart pounds after I walk half a mile, and it is hard to calm myself down. I have almost fainted several times because of the cardiovascular effects this pill has on me. Sure, it clears my acne and keeps my periods short, but this pill has started to make me worry for my permanent mental health. Be very careful with this pill."

For Birth Control "This pill ruined my life!! I’ve been taking it for about 7 months, and the first thing I noticed is my appetite was all weird, and I lost an unhealthy amount of weight in a short period of time, which then caused me to start losing my hair. I didn't think too much of it and kept taking it. Then it got worse. The past two months I’ve been experiencing heart palpitations and insomnia. My anxiety and depression were so absolutely horrible that I started contemplating suicide, which is something I never thought I would go through. I’ve always been pretty mentally stable, and this pill completely changed that. I’ve been off it for a week, and I feel 100x better. I do not recommend this birth control one bit. I’m so upset that I didn’t read the reviews before I started it."

For Birth Control "I would rate this a 0. The best possible description of how it’ll make you feel, which is scattered around a bunch of reviews, is “like you’ve gone crazy.” I’ve never felt worse than I have while taking this BC. I feel like it ruined my entire life. I suffer from anxiety and depression, and this BC has amplified both. I have panic attacks, manic spells, depressive episodes, and every single day, without fail, I contemplate suicide. I’ve never been this bad in my entire life. I also have indigestion, which, combined with IBS, is a killer. It kills your sex drive, makes you irritated, and bloats you, oh my GOD. 0/10 do not even prescribe to your worst enemy."

For Birth Control "I would not wish this birth control on my worst enemy. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because I didn’t get pregnant. I have never experienced such intense anxiety in my life, and I am not generally an overly anxious person. My heart would randomly start beating crazy fast or I would get palpitations, and I had racing thoughts and intrusive thoughts. I have never felt so out of control of my thoughts. I genuinely thought I was going crazy. I’ve been off of it for 3 weeks and still don’t feel completely back to myself. Do yourself a favor and STEER CLEAR."

For Acne "I started this pill over a year ago after my insurance randomly started sending me Tri-Lo-Marzia instead of what I was already using, which is another whole messed-up issue, and have stuck it out long enough. I used to have severe body acne way before starting the birth control pill, but have not had body acne really at all on Tri-Lo-Marzia. Instead of body acne, I gained severe cystic acne on my face. I never had cystic acne before this pill, and I never had acne on my cheeks or chin before this pill. I wake up with new cystic acne every single day, and there's just no way I have cystic acne from anything but this pill. My acne is huge, red, angry cysts covering my cheeks, chin, and jawline for the last year. I never experienced depression or anxiety to the extent that I have experienced it on this pill. I am starting Yaz soon because I have read good reviews about its ability to clear up acne. The Marzia pill caused dryness, a lesser sex drive, severe untreatable acne, heightened anxiety, etc."
