For Birth Control "I absolutely love Ortho Evra. I'd never used a hormonal birth control before, and being super flighty, I knew I couldn't be trusted to take the pill. I originally started off with the ring, which resulted in non-stop crying, non-stop cramping, and constant breakthrough bleeding. Even though the patch and the ring use the same exact hormones in extremely similar dosages, I decided to give the patch a shot. Instantly, I felt worlds better. My period was regular, which was the first time I'd ever had a regular period in my entire life. They're not lighter by any means, but I'll take five days of heavy bleeding over a month of it! Only problem? The patch is prone to coming off if your skin gets very warm and clothing rubs on it, unfortunately!"

For Birth Control "The first month I started the patch, I had breakthrough bleeding for about a month. And every time I put a new patch, I get very nauseated and extremely bloated. Those are the only negative side effects I still have even after 4 months of being on it. But it does its job as a contraceptive, easy to use, and easy to remember."

For Birth Control "Breasts got bigger and heavier, spots every day, bled for a week prior to my patch-free week, I feel uncomfortable and heavy. I want to go to the gym and I don’t feel like I can because my bra is so tight, I was starting to lose weight, do I sound like a happy bunny? Absolute jokes. I’ve heard that they settle down after a while, we’ll see."

For Birth Control "So far, no bleeding. I don't think I've noticed any more discharge. No rash yet. I have it stuck on my butt. No weight gain so far. I will update later!"

For Birth Control "Breakthrough bleeding and very severe mood swings after one year."
For Birth Control "I've had an awful year with my cycle. Last October I got the Depo (the injection) and was due to get my 2nd one in January. But I passed because from the end of November 2015 until April 2016 I had constant bleeding every day from 9-1 and 4-8. It finally stopped, and I went May, June, and July with no period, it was great. But then I got it back at the end of July, and the pain was unbearable. It went on for 2 weeks. I rang my doctor, explained everything, and she has put me on the patch. So far, I love it. This is only my 3rd week, so still early days, but my cycle is starting to return to normal. The only side effect I'm having is I'm very low on energy, but nothing a Berocca or two won't cure."
