For Migraine Prevention "I've suffered from chronic migraines for almost 30 years! I've tried everything. I just wanted my migraines to end so I can live out the rest of my life a little normal. A month with no migraine would be like hitting the lottery for me. Then a new doctor suggested Aimovig. My insurance finally agreed to pay. I couldn't afford it, so I'm glad to have the help. My doctor said it takes 3 months to show progress. AND HE WAS RIGHT! I'm going on month 3, and my migraines have reduced drastically! They are not as severe or frequent! I am so ecstatic and just hope it continues! There are side effects. I've dealt with constipation, anxiety, and insomnia for a long time. But now they seem more severe. A couple of times unbearable. Aimovig makes 'butterflies' in my stomach feel like the butterflies got bricks tied to their wings. I may have to decide which is worse. I'm hoping the side effects go away soon. In the meantime, I've made an appointment to see a psychiatrist."

For Migraine Prevention "I have taken 2 doses now (140 mg). I suffer from chronic migraines (almost daily). My side effects are anxiety, new panic attacks, hot flashes, numbness, tingling all over my body (flu-like symptoms) but no flu and have had these for 3 weeks now. Next week I am due for my third dose but not going to take it after reading the feedback on this site. Although it has significantly reduced my migraines, at what cost? I miss more work now than I did with the migraines and just feel terrible!!!"

For Migraine Prevention "I have suffered migraines from age of 10 years. I have tried everything from antihypertensives, antidepressants, Botox, Topamax, and now all three monoclonal antibody therapies, the last of which is Aimovig. I can concur with all the symptoms posted on this site: head fog, dizziness, shortness of breath, palpitations, anxiety, restlessness, especially at night, and sharp, stabbing pain in my head and neck. Triptan is less effective and has no change in daily migraines. As a chronic migraine sufferer, I don't know what options I have, but this is not one of them and I will report side effects as I have done for other similar treatments."

For Migraine Prevention "Amazing experience. Suffered from chronic migraines, which dropped by 50 percent the first month. Now at my third month, and I only have a migraine once a week. I can even indulge with a glass of alcohol. The side effects, such as anxiety, dizziness, a nosebleed, and early periods, only happened the first few days of use. I have slight joint pain, but given I have no more migraines, it’s totally worth it."

For Migraine Prevention "I have taken two 140 mg injections over the last 2 months. Since then I have had a daily migraine on the moderate to severe scale. Triptans are giving me no relief and side effects are constipation, back/neck pain, extreme fatigue, mild depression, and anxiety bordering on actual panic attacks. My heart rate is fast, but blood pressure is borderline low. Also, frequent urination, poor sleep 4 hrs most nights. I have had Ajovy injections previously and discontinued because they just stopped having any effect, but I did not get all these other side effects I am getting with Aimovig."

For Migraine Prevention "I am hot and cold at the same time, my anxiety is through the roof, which then led to depression. Everything smells. I can't eat."

For Migraine Prevention "This is the worst. I have taken 3 injections and never again! I have had bad constipation. I feel so much more anxiety, paranoia, and nervousness. This drug should have more warning to people about the side effects. They say it takes a while to get out of your system, and I hope that it will be soon. I feel like a totally different person, it’s not good. Wish I’ve never put this stuff in my body."
