For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I wish I knew about this during my first pregnancy. It helps me go from throwing up 2-3 times a day and miserable to feeling very little nausea most days. I take 1 pill around 5:30 pm (after I’m done driving for the day) and I usually sleep around 8:30 to 6:30."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I think it really helps but doesn’t quite last the full 24 hours for me. I was nauseous on and off throughout the day starting between week 5 and 6, and progressively getting worse and lasting longer into week 7 when I started taking it. It took two days for the full effect of the medication; I’m now just about 9 weeks and ever since the nausea has been much better throughout the day up until the evening, though I do have some more mild bouts of nausea here and there during the day. I take it between 10:30-11:30 PM before bed and the nausea comes back strong each day by 8:00 or 9:00 PM (with very infrequent actual vomiting). I noticed some drowsiness the first few days in the morning but nothing that prevented me from functioning; it’s honestly hard to say if it’s adding to the tiredness I feel or if that’s just from the hard work of growing a baby because I felt exhausted before I started taking it too :)"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I took Bonjesta around the clock with Zofran, not at the same time but as often as I could. Once the Diclegis began to become effective, it literally saved my life and allowed daily normalcy versus the misery of which makes you sad. You want to enjoy your pregnancy and all that comes with it, and being nauseated all day can certainly put a damper on that experience. I was so happy this was available, and I would ONLY accept the brand name, and I found this to be the most expensive yet! Best money spent that I could remember... I did try Zofran alone as you already don't like to take anything while being pregnant, Zofran didn’t work alone for me. But these two around the clock gave me what I needed for six months that I was nauseous."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I am 35, and this is my first pregnancy. My 24/7 nausea with occasional vomiting hit me like a steamroller at 7 weeks. I was taking the over-the-counter Unisom PM at night and B6 supplements with food during the day, I noticed very little difference. At 9 weeks, I started Bonjesta, prescribed by my midwife. She did warn it could be costly, I was/am lucky, and my insurance covered all of the cost, except for a $40 copay, so it was an easy decision for me to try it. I took my first dose at night and then in the morning, and I remember going to work and feeling for the first time like I could function and get through this. It does make you very sleepy! I took two pills a day weeks 9-18 and now am taking one pill at night and adding the over-the-counter B6 supplements during the day with food. I still am careful and vigilant, but I feel so much better on it."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "The nausea was absolutely unmanageable before Bonjesta. I was throwing up almost every day, and it was hard to eat anything. The drowsiness is real. The first few days, I had a hard time waking up before 10:00 a.m., and was sleepy again by 6:00 p.m. But, as many have said, I'll take the drowsiness over the nausea. At least I'm able to eat (still small meals, a little at a time, nothing with a ton of flavor) and stay hydrated. Also, my OBGYN gave me a coupon that brought the price down to $40. Otherwise, with insurance, it was $200 (no insurance closer to $800). So definitely ask for a coupon."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Please do not waste your money on this extremely overpriced product. It is simply an extended-release capsule of Unisom (Doxylamine Succinate) and vitamin B6. Both can be purchased generic and over the counter for $0.19 per dose where we live. The price with insurance for Bonjesta, where we live, at the pharmacy the OB sent it to is $3.25 per dose. If an OB prescribed this to you, they have a fantastic pharmaceutical sales rep from Duchesnay."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "After taking this medication for a week, it immediately causes me to projectile vomit upon taking. Getting off of it! While I was on it, I still got severe night sickness and was tired all the time."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medication did not work for me at all. I never got relief from nausea and actually threw up twice while on it. I stopped taking it, and the next morning I actually woke up feeling okay. Started a new medication (Zofran), so we'll see if it works. The Bonjesta made me sleepy, especially when taking one at night and one in the AM, but it never helped the nausea!"
