"One year on this drug and now the CA markers are back elevated. The drug worked, maintained CA 125 marker for 7 months. I’m now meeting with the doctor to figure out the next treatment plan. I can’t take anything that is carboplatin-based as it causes profound hearing loss, and I’m already very hard of hearing. While on Doxil, my skin peeled, some pustules, but they healed after 3 months, loss of appetite, and minimal hair regrowth on the scalp. Overall, I tolerated this drug, but it’s not working for me, stage 4 ovarian cancer."
