For Conjunctivitis, Allergic "Very dry eyes for more than 10 years, resulting in allergy to Systane due to overuse. Multiple ophthalmologists consulted did not recommend cromolyn or antihistamine drops. I was required to demand this protocol. The last two had read a study wherein antihistamine drops were favored over cromolyn; but this study now is opposed by additional post-COVID studies indicating cromolyn is favored over antihistamine drops. Needed at least 10 doses of cromolyn 4%, daily initially, tapering down as symptoms allowed over the next two weeks. Eyes became progressively wetter 2 to 3 weeks in, waking up with vision clear enough to read the clock face, along with some appreciated excess tearing during the day. Still improving. The product is easy to administer. Unsure of the cause (lens replacement, food, pollen, or medication) - some light itching about the face, neck, and nape of the neck. Given the severity of my chronic dry eye condition, I am ecstatic with the improvement despite the probability of a two-year treatment window."
