For Transient Ischemic Attack "I've been prescribed clopidogrel for a suspected TIA. No evidence was found on examination or investigations. My symptoms were confined to my right eye. Since being on this med, I have experienced gum bleeding when brushing my teeth, loose stools, tummy ache, and feel like I have influenza. I can't function like this as I live alone. I'm persevering for a few more days (only began taking 4 days ago) to see if it eases, then will go back to my GP."

Clopidogrel for Ischemic Stroke, Prophylaxis "Small stroke. Side effects of the clopidogrel for me are both good and bad. I can't taste much of anything, only salty things. Way in the back of my mouth. Can't tell if morning coffee is too hot, must test with my finger. Can't smell coffee either... bummer... I take it in the evening as it acts as a sleeping pill about 40 minutes after I take it. My body totally relaxes and I doze off... Smell is almost nonexistent but I had no seasonal nasal allergies this year at all!!! Fantastic!!! Once in a while I think I smell something but then it goes away???? Mental focus is a little off, notice slightly harder to remember my next project, have to write stuff down more... Bowels are a little loose. Started with atorvastatin but the statin laid me out for 5 days, same when I changed to Zetia... no NSAIDs or I get real sleepy.... Coffee counteracts the morning tiredness for a couple of hours, but must drink a little all day long but it doesn't taste, just feels hot..."
