For Cold Symptoms "Had severe allergies as a child and was prescribed this. It was the greatest thing out there! That was 50 years ago, but no one seems to carry it anymore. As a youngster, I took half a capsule at a time. Wish it was still available!"

For Cold Symptoms "When I was in the Army in 1968, they prescribed this medication to reduce the runny nose, itchy watering eyes, etc. associated with being outside in the weather. It reduced or eliminated the problems. I wish I could find a source again."

For Cold Symptoms "I was prescribed this for sinus and cold symptoms back in the late '60s and '70s when I was in the Marines. It worked GREAT. I'm a true believer. I still have sinus problems but get no results nowadays."

For Cold Symptoms "My doctor prescribed this medication for me about 25 years ago for my upper respiratory problem, and after one or two doses, my symptoms were cured. Since then, I have not been able to find this medication on the market."

"I was an avid scuba diver/instructor for over 30 years and first prescribed Ornade in the early '70s. No other dryer could compare to the ability of Ornade to stop the drainage and prevent a sinus infection. It is the drainage that seems to feed a sinus infection, prolonging its duration. Ornade combined with an antibiotic would return you to normal. No one wants to spend thousands of dollars for a scuba trip to a foreign country and then have sinus problems keep you from diving. When my students would have a minor problem, I would recommend a combination of Sudafed and Afrin nasal spray, just to make sure they could clear their ears. If they were having more serious issues, I recommended getting a script for Ornade. Every diver thought Ornade was the greatest thing out there. As one diver crudely stated, one capsule of Ornade and you are picking rocks out of your nose, but your sinuses and ears are clear. We never had any serious side effects in all those years we used Ornade."

For Cold Symptoms "I took this medicine for a runny nose, congestion, and cough years ago. I cannot find it, and nothing works like Ornade."

"Took this in the 1960s for allergies. While it relieved congestion and sneezing, it was a powerful medication that caused great drowsiness."

For Cold Symptoms "I used Ornade exclusively 30 years ago. Nothing compared to the allergens it blocked - I have hay fever and related allergies. I lived in the Sacramento area where the pollen is extremely thick. I have been unable to find the Ornade Spansules since then, and was told by my doctor that the decongestant in it (and all other like products) has a tendency to increase blood pressure. I highly recommend this product and wish I could take it again."
