Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "Please do not use this cream. I had some redness on one side of my face, so my dermatologist prescribed Mirvaso, not mentioning the possible side effects. I applied a small amount on my entire face, and the redness was completely gone in 30 minutes. I was so happy to see that this is working for me. Three hours later, my face turned completely red, and I felt a burning sensation. I did my research on Mirvaso and was shocked by all the negative reviews on this product. I only used it once, and two days later my face is still red and flushing. I hope one time wasn't enough to ruin my face. I don't even understand how Mirvaso is FDA approved when 90% of the reviews are negative."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "Mirvaso has given me my confidence back. I have suffered with rosacea for years. My doctor recommended Mirvaso and this stuff really works! I had to experiment with the dosing a little. You cannot put it on every single day or you will get the 'rebound redness.' I find that using the cream one day, then taking 2 days off of it, then using it, then 2 days off, etc. works PERFECTLY for my skin. Yes, my two main triggers (exercise and alcohol) still give me redness in the moment, but I know that afterwards I can clear up my face. I am in control of my redness and my flushing in every other situation. I finally have clear skin. People no longer ask me if I got a sunburn or say I'm blushing. I have been using it for 4 months and have been very happy with it!!!"

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "I’ve had a red flushing face my whole life, and nothing helped. My doctor prescribed me this, and for the first 3 days, I was shocked, my redness went away nearly completely. I was so happy. Then on day 4, my face randomly flared up worse than it ever had before. It didn't go away for hours. I stopped using the cream, and yesterday and today, my face will randomly go bright red in certain spots and get bigger and bigger. I’m scared this won’t go away. DON'T use this cream, you will regret it."

For Rosacea "Very bad experience. I have used it for almost a month... after that, I experienced my face getting very red and hotter than before. I stopped using it now for 2 days but still feel red and hot. It's really embarrassing when people look at you with scary eyes... please never apply it to your face."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "Oh, how I wish I had read the reviews before using Mirvaso. I have had a terrible reaction. At first, I was so pleased with how it toned down the redness on my cheeks, but two weeks later, my face is really red and burning. I started using Mirvaso hoping to improve my redness before my son's wedding day, but unfortunately, I look much worse than I have ever done. I applied only a small amount on one side of my face for a few days and was happy with the improvement, so then used it on both cheeks, even my eyes feel sore. I regret ever using this. I didn’t put any on my nose, but my goodness, just call me Rudolf."

For Rosacea "Having this cream prescribed to me by my doc, I noticed no difference in the redness of my skin in the beginning (maybe worse redness if anything). After using it for several days, my face became extremely red, very itchy, sore, sensitive, and my face became swollen, so I called my doc, and she told me to stop using it immediately. After that, I had another bad experience with another cream, so I stopped using that one and decided to go back to the Mirvaso, and I started noticing positive changes in my skin. My face would turn white and normal. I have been using Mirvaso daily for two years, I have my good days, and I have my really bad days. It severely affects my life just in every way possible."

For Rosacea "I got prescribed this medicine by my doctor, it was supposed to help with the mild episodes of face flushing I get. Yesterday it worked like a dream, I was very happy. I am now on day two and sitting with ice packs on my face, it's worse than ever in my life! DO NOT USE THIS CREAM. It really shouldn't be allowed on the market. I am so upset with how I am looking, this was never an issue before, and now I look like I am burnt. Even my makeup is not covering the redness, it's out of control. DO NOT USE THIS. I cannot say it enough, I wish I had seen this before I used it."

For Rosacea "Tried it as NCBI research showed promising results in the reduction of rosacea. Worked very well the first 2 days but noticed an increasing redness, burning, and heat on my face after repeated application throughout the day and night. Became unbearable after day 5. Had to stop. TERRIBLE. Look at all the NCBI research-these are all paid by the company manufacturing brimonidine 0.33%. Galderma. What a scam, do you think they would be biased? And they list 1-4% of patients with minor to moderate adverse effects. Seriously? Look. If it works for you, I'm very happy, but looking at the reviews here, you will see how for MOST, side effects outweigh the benefits after repeated application. Rather look into laser treatments (ONLY by approved dermatologists! Btw)"

For Rosacea "Stay away from this product!!! I have rosacea subtype 1. Tested this product on my left cheek so I could compare left from right. Worked great for the first few hours. Then all hell breaks loose. It made my flush to the extreme! Purple-red color. Stopped using the product after 2 weeks. This was all about a year and a half ago. To this day, the left side of my face where I applied the Mirvaso is more red and more easily irritated than the right side."

"My dermatologist gave me a sample to try on my arms for keratosis pilaris rubra (I also have mild rosacea on my face). I was amazed at how quickly the redness on my arms disappeared. Usually, I do a lot of research before trying new products, especially those that are prescription and not life-saving. Unfortunately, this time I was in a rush to leave home and didn't. Approximately 24 hours later, both arms went beet red. They burned for hours. Finally, the redness subsided, but it happened again about 24 hours after that (only one arm this time). I was not in contact with any normal triggers, i.e., sun, alcohol, etc. After one application, the rebound occurred. How long before it goes back to normal?"

For Rosacea "Used these drops on face for redness once. At first, I thought this stuff was miraculous, hadn't seen my skin looking so normal in years, but of course, it was too good to be true. It wore off the next day, and my face is now redder than it was to begin with. Also feels burning/hot, and redness where there wasn't any before and slightly puffy/swollen. Will not be using this again."

For Rosacea "Same old story as everyone else. I used it for about 7 days, and it was great. It does what it says it'll do, but it makes matters worse when the application is worn off. Even while it was working, I could tell that my face was trying to flush, and it was coming out in areas where I have never been red (in between eyebrows, slight rash on forehead, red nose). This medication seems too intense for the skin, and I will never use it again. Hopefully, my rebound flushing will subside because right now it is nearly purple."

For Rosacea "I loved Mirvaso initially. My redness was reduced, but I did not have the paleness some people complain of. But after a week or so, I began experiencing rebound redness and heat within about 4 hours. I don't get the hot feeling normally, so I ended up just as red but with discomfort. I no longer use it every day, but save it for special occasions."

For Rosacea "I’ve used this stuff for 3 days. The first night I woke up with absolutely no redness. I thought, hey, maybe this stuff works? After just 2 more days, I felt like my nose and cheeks are on fire! Not only do they feel like they are on fire, they look it! The redness is so bad I can’t even hide it with makeup. My cheeks and nose make me look like I was just in an oil fire. Worst product I’ve ever put on my face! It’s been 1 week since I’ve last used it, and on the daily, my face looks as if I poured boiling oil on it. They should definitely pull these from the shelves! I can’t believe there is not a lawsuit out for this company. The pain my cheeks and nose are in, the events or interaction with anyone I’m missing because of how my face looks and feels..... DO NOT USE this ointment. I will make any redness you had previously 150% worse!!!"

For Rosacea "I tried this product, and I loved the effects of having pale skin and not worrying about flushing. When this product wears off, I have a really bad burning sensation and redness, and I have to take an aspirin to calm my skin down. I decided to discontinue using it."

For Rosacea "So it's called ONRELTEA here in Canada. The first few times I used it, it took the redness away for a few hours, and I had no reaction to it. I used it on and off for a while, still with no side effects, until one day when it was wearing off in the evening, my cheeks started to get super red and blotchy. I didn't think much of it until the next evening when my face got extremely red and felt like it was on fire, my cheeks and nose were throbbing and so painful that I had to put a cold cloth on my face and go to bed. I hadn't even used the gel that day at all. It started happening again on the 3rd evening, so I went straight to bed as I didn't want to deal with the pain again. My face was redder than it ever was for the next couple of weeks. I haven't used this gel since and probably won't ever again. It's such a shame because this could be the best thing to happen to rosacea sufferers if it didn't have these awful side effects."

Brimonidine topical for Rosacea "I have used Mirvaso for three years now. Quite frankly, I love the stuff. There is a lot I would do without before I would give up my prescription. It really eliminates the redness on my face and lasts for a while. Yes, triggers can still set off a flare. As far as rebound, I don’t notice any difference between before I used it and after using it. As I said, I love the stuff. It is extremely expensive, and I’m very grateful that my insurance covers it. But if you have to pay for it out-of-pocket, know that you only need a tiny amount and a tube of it will go a long way."

For Rosacea "I used to have a very little amount of redness on my cheek. My dermatologist said it was rosacea, and she prescribed me Erythego brimonidine gel. When I first used it, my cheek felt cool, and the redness went away instantly, the area where I applied it looked lighter than before. I used it for 2 days. The next day, I woke up with the amount of redness that I NEVER EVER had, it was so much worse. It kept coming and going away. Then I decided to stop using the gel, and gradually, day by day, the redness kept decreasing, and finally, after 2 weeks, it was completely gone, and my skin went back to how it was before. I do have mild redness, but it’s not that awful. THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE TRUE."
